  1. Mmmm...love the wines out there. We are doing 2 weeks prior to the B2B 2 week river cruise at a winery guest house. Gotta love that Pinot!! 🥰
  2. IMHO...It's over rated. More fun to just "ship bar hop" to favorite bars around the ship using your vouchers. Works for us...and frees up space in the C&A lounges and SL. 😉
  3. Of course suites guests that have not made it to Diamond, are not allowed in the DL (now technically CL). At least you had the option as a Diamond (or above). 🙂
  4. Been there...done that...with both 8588 and twin 8088. Indeed, spent most of our time on that huge balcony with those glasses of freebie wines C&A sent to our cabin. Long conversations? Ummm.....? Not unique to any level...or even newbie suites guests.
  5. The intro of the vouchers program...IMHO...was the best thing that RCI ever did. 🤗
  6. Hey, I am paying to fly to Portland from Florida for my B2B river cruise! 🤗
  7. Check my signature. RCI is not the only one I cruise with. 😉 Obnoxious people are what they are...and they were already as such as gold, platinum...etc. It is not unique to just Pinnacles. Don't fixate on the gold pins...you just don't see the ones from all levels that are a PITA.
  8. Yeah it is...sigh. Maybe I will try to open a Walmart CC. Oh wait...I already have one. 😄
  9. And another point in case. I am Pinnacle, I sail in suites, though I don't use the DL (now crown lounge), SL, or CLs during happy hour on the ships that still have them. We do our happy hour using our vouchers in the common lounges, with VCL being our favorite. For us "Any time, in any lounge is happy hour". We do enjoy CK however, and will grab a drink in there when we are going to dinner. So you won't see us taking up the precious seats in those lounges....well except for when our dear friends invite us in to join them....and they know who they are...."Dave's not here!". 😄
  10. That is actually common for first nights on all ships, be it steak night in CK...or the DL, or SL, or CL (though now we have 2 CLs? 😉 ). Pinnies that are not in full suites are starting to be excluded from the SL/CL (the old concierge lounge). It happened years ago with Diamonds being kicked out of the concierge lounges...then over the last few months...the D+ were kicked out. Now...the new Crown Lounge/Old DL is restricting Diamonds during happy hour. IMHO...the C&A program is becoming a monster, and is a victim of it's own popularity...and over population in general.
  11. Awww...thanks OB. And yes, I have enjoyed your posts for years now...and in fact you have helped me with some hurdles I faced a few times. Loving your sense of humor and being nice as well. 🙂
  12. And you indeed know me very well. Having a sense of humor, IMHO, is what makes life fun....and your bro has one in droves...which is one of the biggest reasons why I married him. I told my Dad when I introduced him that "I would never be bored with him around Dad". 😄 And is also one of the reasons you two and we clicked together when we first met you both. As they say...Laughter is the best medicine. And you can be nice....and still have a sense of humor. Too many people just don't get it. 😉 I won't go quietly into the end. 🤡
  13. Not very often. Mostly we wear it to events (embarkation, top tier event, Pinnacle lunch...etc.) and will wear them at night during dressier dinners, cocktails. I tend to wear mine more than your bro.
  14. I never got it...luckily! I am Google Chrome, have adblocker, and delete cookies quite frequently. Guess I got lucky...I do seem to get everything else weird at times though. 🧐
  15. I always bring a string of LED Xmas lights when I cruise in December (and have them packed already for next month). And yes, the pack of batteries to operate them. Though I never put them on the balcony.....inside cabin only. Funny story one year...attendant came in and saw my string of lights in the cabin and told us we were not allowed to have them. I had her walk over to touch the LED lights (no heat) and she told us indeed they were allowed.
  16. Thanks! We sail in full suites as well. It actually makes me laugh that they have this mindset that they think all Pinnies sail in inside cabins. I will wear my pin just to annoy them...and it works!! 😄
  17. Ahh...OK...guess that is just in the JS cabins? Someday will try Quantum...so many cruise ships...so little time. 😉
  18. We had better get used to getting back to the balcony experience....even during first release of quarters on the World Cruise...and still to this day less than 2 weeks before...nothing from JS and up available to book. Soooo...your bro and I will be very...very...close together in our balcony for the 2 quarters (first and last) of over 60 days each. Hopefully we don't drive each other crazy ..or worse!. 😲
  19. Indeed...retirement was the key. Plus we are (sadly) sans pets since the demon cancer took my fur babies 😞. Until then 2 weeks was the max for us to be away, even with a great cat sitter, I still missed them dearly when we were gone...and still do after 5 years since they crossed over the Rainbow bridge. 🥺
  20. Oh...I like that idea! Bringing my little battery "tap light" for the bathroom...but that still may be too bright. My electric travel clock is the perfect night light for inside the cabin...and shows date, room temperature as well. It goes with me everywhere we travel. 🙂
  21. Back to balcony again....but it's free...so will love it! It's our "cruising on the cheep" cruise. 😄
  22. Noo...this is finally using my 1050 point certificate. 1400 is up next. 🙂
