  1. Has gone the other way for us. Too much time on the large ladies the last few years...needed a break. Totally enjoyed little Serenade out of Tampa couple weeks ago and have sister ship Jewel B2B booked for this Friday. That Serenade Xmas and NYE combo is a one leg...62 night long cruise. 😉
  2. I find sea pass cards quite frequently. This last one on the walking track on Harmony. I simply turned it in to GS. If you lose your card, they will issue you another one. If you lost it in port...you had better have your picture ID with you. 😮 Security can match your face to what they have on file.
  3. I am booked for Christmas as well, including NYE. Little ship Serenade. 😉
  4. Yeah, Bucky who is always cold, loves to don those robes as an overcoat while relaxing in the cabin. He found his to have short sleeves...first I have seen those. I traded with him for my overly long sleeve robe. 😉
  5. LOL...now THAT may just turn some heads in your carry on bag at security. 😄
  6. Thank goodness we are not all alike!! Can you imagine only one flavor of ice cream??? 😮 Yes, the app will show my set sail pass. But I always like having a paper copy of it, cropped to smaller size. I slide that into my passport and hand both to check in agent. No fumbling with phone, scrolling to page, all done in seconds...easy peasy.
  7. Yup, we did that. And frustratingly enough, they opened up the "drop your check bag" at the porters at the terminal just 10 minutes after we self parked in lot. Uggh...Oh well, was a bit bumpy, but we did it. Probably the adrenalin of getting check in helped. 😄 Actually ended up drag/rolling them to the vehicle when we departed as well.
  8. I just caught that change a few days ago. Was surprised to have 3 RCI ships in on Friday. Indy at #1, Mariner #5, and you at #6. At least those two Terminals are side by side. Hoping to prepay as we enter as well. Not familiar with T#6. Had no problem in Tampa couple weeks ago doing our usual prepay as we entered the surface lot...which is oh so convenient there as well, but still hoping for an inside garage parking when we get to T#6 on Friday. Will arrive early to snag one...hopefully. Drats...no Grills to walk over to for Bloody Marys prior to cruise. 😞
  9. LOL...I would still love to see that procedure! 😄 I take my waiter's key (AKA waiter's corkscrew) just for Bucky's red wine. Though I don't think I have the finesse that you do when pulling the cork. 😉
  10. OMG....just way too cool!! Enjoy your time on Jewel! Great way to celebrate the NY!! 🥂 We board for B2B on Friday.
  11. Hopefully Laura's Beringer is a screw cap? Most of my Kiwi SBs (AKA NZ Sauvignon Blanc) have screw caps. This would be you? 😉
  12. OMG...thanks for the funny mental image and the laugh. 😆 Happy New Year to you and Laura. 🙂
  13. As long as it is the allowed 750 ml bottle, they will not inspect the label to see if it is any different than full alcohol bubbly, which wouldn't matter anyway. It will simply go through the scanner as a regular bottle of bubbly. No worries. However, the allowed limit is two per cabin...not two per adult.
  14. Yup, both Bucky and I have small scissors in our "ditty bag" which is actually in our carry on bag when it's a "drive to" port. Never a problem. We just take them out if a flight is involved to get to port. I think they are looking at someone trying to take on a machete...that may just catch their attention. 😱 Not to mention that nice sharp steak knife they give you at dinner on the ship. 😄
  15. Which is exactly right. I keep the knifeless one in my carry on, but also have at least one or two in my checked bag. And like you....never, ever....had a problem in the 30 years I have been cruising. 🙂
  16. Thanks to you as well. My usual experimenting (which will sometimes get me in trouble 😉 )...I found out how to simply crop it on my print feature. Worked just fine. But thanks again anyway!
  17. And that is why I posted that I took the tiny knife out of it, which is allowed in a flight carry on.
  18. LOL....me neither....ooooh...scary thought. 😄
  19. Yup, familiar with that pass through door. We always see them going back and forth on the Radiance class. They were not using Giovanni's on Serenade except for dinner and was never busy at that time either. We enjoyed dinner there. Loved our breakfast in Chops, but the dinner we had there was a total fail. 😞
  20. Me too. These are what I always had with me in the wine business, and could get boxes of them for free. I also used them as hand outs or prizes when I would teach a wine class. They are indeed simple and easy to slip into my carry on. 🙂 The common name is waiter's corkscrew...but we always called them "waiter's keys". Of course I had to show you one in pink. 😄
  21. Thanks....I figured it out before I got your post. Not sure how I did it, but was able to "crop" in the printing feature and it worked! Yeah me...old dogs actually can learn new tricks. 😄
