As I already posted..."ignorance is bliss". In this case, I already know. Case in point. What is the first thing that comes into to your mind when you walk into your cabin on embarkation day? And what is the first thing that will come into to my mind when I walk into that cabin on embarkation day in Barcelona? Yes, as I also already posted...feel very sad for the poor lady (rest her soul) and her family/friends. Very sad indeed.

Which Klymit inflatable mattress?

Since we were on board in the same cabin for 63 nights until this last Sunday...yeah, I wanted a solid foam topper. And will bring another one when we reboard for another 63 nights in July. 😉 -
Hi Adita my friend! Good to hear from you. We already miss you guys. Expected to see you in the CL, until I realized I had to make my own drink for happy hour now! Where is Augus when you need him? 😄 As posted...there is no message feature here on CC. Thanks so much for verifying the info. Eeek...I know it is probably no big deal, and I do feel for the poor lady and her family, friends....but feels creepy to think about sleeping in the same bed as the recently deceased. 😳

Well, if anyone finds out if the cabin that had the Alpha call on our last night going into LA is the one that the poor lady died in...let me know. That Alpha call was for 8592...which is the cabin we are scheduled to be in when we return in Barcelona. Adita (one of our friends we spent time with) is a Tic Tock writer. She knows which cabin.

We were able to book at 4 am on Odyssey at Next Cruise desk (yes she called my cabin and I met her down there!)...which was the hour the quarter cruise segments were finally released. All cabins from JS and up were already booked by full world cruisers. Though the ship never ended being filled up when we boarded in Miami. Royal up from our balcony to the GS was the only way we could get that cabin. I agree...GS cabins are our usual "go to" cabin. Was happy to have it after all for those 9 weeks, felt like home, plenty of room for storage.

Which Klymit inflatable mattress?

No, I did not use the Klymit brand, knowing they could separate and would not cover the king size bed. I bought a simple 1.5 inch foam mattress pad from Walmart. It was highly compressed in packaging, thus fit in my 2nd duffle bag easily. I packed a large pair of scissors in my suitcase, knowing I had to trim down to size. Worked great...left it on the bed when we disembarked. Well worth dragging it on board. -
