  1. Weather in Cabo looks good for tomorrow. Hopefully get to actually take a tender to port. 😉 We lowly quarterly subjects required to collect tender tickets in Safari lounge this afternoon. 😉 70 degrees, cloudy, with light winds. Ahhh...perfect! No tour scheduled, we plan on just walking around to enjoy the port city (we love Mexico)...and have a few subjects lined up to check out for a lunch spot. 🤗
  2. Awww...you make me blush. ☺️🥰 Thank you sooo much for the personal letter. You really made my day! I indeed have been enjoying posting on this thread, as it has become a true joy sharing our adventure with everyone both on board and virtually cruising with us. 🤗 I actually posted a picture of myself when we first encountered the cold weather on our approach to Antarctica wearing a fluffy fleece hoodie on the deck with snow around my feet quite awhile back. Dear sister gave me that fleece and I wanted to prove to her I was wearing it. 😉 Bucky and I will return on July 10th in Barcelona to rejoin the ship. Will continue to post again from there, assuming this thread is still active....if not...will start another one?
  3. Delta. Was a strange flight, as they are pretty much bringing the plane down just to pick up passengers for the return flight to fly to "land of the mouse". There were only 10 passengers on it!! 😮 Six checked bags...four of them ours. Lady in baggage claim told us that it was very common with that first flight coming in from Orlando. 35 minute flight. They also told the few pax in coach that they all had upgrades to first class. 😉
  4. What a difference a day makes! Current position...with flat, calm, lake like seas.
  5. Awww...thanks like minded sister! 😊 Mixed feelings on leaving the ship in 4 days...has been a great trip, will miss the new friends we made, and the wonderful crew. 🥰 But we have another remodel scheduled (laundry room this time) and need to finish up our office remodel we were just getting done with before we left. Next up, we have two more cruises before we rejoin in Barcelona...Wonder and a B2B paddle wheel river trip with American Queen in Oregon and Washington states. Will connect that with a two week stay at a winery guest house outside of Portland to occupy our time before July. 😉
  6. Ummm...Ok...yes, we are enjoying ourselves. No, we don't expect things to be perfect...umm..what ever is? Yes, would have brought less dress shirts, more casual shirts. Missing the most?...cooking. I love cooking, which is superior to the "mass feeding" you get on any cruise ship. Also missing...watching the birds in my back yard bird feeder. But another thing I really miss....quiet.. the peaceful silence we enjoy at home. Too much constant canned music...and loud everything. But in the mean time...easily solved when I retreat to my cabin to read, and to watch the scenery of Mother Nature's creation pass by our balcony. 😉 Just spent some quality time a bit ago with a glass of wine in my hand watching the world go by, and the sunset letting me know I enjoyed another day on this planet. 🥰
  7. Indeed Cabo. So...when Bucky and I leave, along with many others...in LA. Maybe Jimbo will take over the thread. 😄
  8. Seems to be calming down just a bit...as we are heading north away from it now. Should be less bumpy night. 😉
  9. Yes, we indeed did and were very impressed with her talk. What a life they lead! Fascinating indeed! So sad she lost her soul mate. 😞 Fantastic business she runs there...true quality Jade and set up perfect for the tourist trade.
  10. Sorry...could not resist...you know I was just messing with you. 😉 I can't tell you how many times I have done the same thing. 🥰
  11. Cute picture! Yeah, the satellite store at the port is owned by the same people in Antiqua. 🙂 I hope you will enjoy your tour in October...I know we sure did!
  12. Not as bad now for the "mini legs"....it was the original full cruise and quarter bookings that were horribly pricey. And the ship never sold out...we are currently 2/3rd full.
  13. Captain made an announcement yesterday about the strong winds we were due to encounter on the way north. Gap winds they call it when I researched it...something new to me not being on the "left coast". Told us he is going to do a bit of evasive sailing adding a bit more distance to our original route...which by the map shows he has elected to hug the coast line for more wind protection, versus "as the crow flies" direct route. Supposedly going to pull out of it around mid day today. A bit challenging pulling open the balcony door. North winds hitting us here on the starboard side pretty strong.
  14. Gallo...the local beer. Funny thing is being the same emblem as Gallo wines. Gallo...meaning Cocky male rooster Chicken in Spanish and Italian. 😉
  15. We...here on the World Cruise, little Serenade ....are a tad smaller than that. 😉
  16. Really enjoyed our visit here. If there was one snag...it was the pick pocket that got me. 😮 First time for me. I have always had the habit of putting 10-15 dollars of small bills in my left back pocket as "decoy". Figured if they find that, they will be happy and not look further for the CC, passport card, and large bill I have stuffed in my front pocket that is buttoned down. Plus I carry my tiny "port purse" in front of me that has hand sanitizer, lip balm, reading glasses, more cash....and my phone. I never felt it...they were that good. Oh well, I guess they were needing that 12 bucks more than I did. 😉
  17. Next stop...the Jade museum and factory. The couple that own and run this discovered a huge Jade deposit in the 70s. They have made their living here since then. They raw cut, then shape, and polish many pieces of high quality Jade. Did not have time to purchase any, since I spent too much time checking out the coffee station. The area has some of the best coffee in the world. I bought two bags of beans. 🙂 This guy was hand carving an Armadillo and took the time to show it to me.
  18. On to our lunch restaurant as part of the tour. Since we picked up the extra 4 pax, and as our usual, we had dragged in last...they put us in a cute little private space from the main table, being that we were 4 over the main table set up. Kind of like what you would find at a bed and breakfast style set up... we were alongside the main area that the rest sat at. Wow...the food was fantastic...as was the service. Beautiful garden courtyard dining. And another bottle of wine. 😉 Picture of table set up when they all left, and a really cool carved section divider Bucky found. Interesting first drink...made from Hibiscus flowers.
  19. Three active volcanoes near to town. Yikes...but just steaming while we were there. Nice Volcanos...nice girls...stay calm please. 😉 Tuk tuk taxis everywhere. Of course the required touristy picture of the town sign.
