Hi All, We were wondering the same thing as all of you. Also we have a long day the previous day when we are going to Petra so will be double dead!!!
Bill might have put that post up in July but if it is correct, why is it taking so long to correct it on Azamara website. If it isn't correct perhaps Bill will update us all ASAP.
Would really like to be able to attend the Azamazing Evening but haven't signed up for it because of the anomaly.

Sanatee, can you remember how long it took you to walk to outside the port gates in Danang? We have a private tour booked and are being collected outside the gates! The guide said not far...but how far is not far I wonder??!! Also was it manic with taxis etc when you got there? Hope you can help. Thanks in anticipation.

rgaudet,
No, there was no problem with noise at all in 6051 on Quest when we were there in April.
We are in 6056 on Journey in December so hope it will be quiet.

Comments: I am a bad sailor but never felt seasick at all on this trip, maybe due to midship, mid-deck. In fact, never felt ship leaving port or docking....must be something to do with Captain Carl!!!!!and his amazing 3 point turn in Seville was brilliant!!!!

Further to Harry's info about problems in Danang port.
I actually organised the tour Harry mentioned. It was agreed to meet the guide outside the gates. He was waiting outside the gates and told me to just keep walking as the bus was a little further along the road.
It was as we were walking that the police arrived! It was certainly not what I expected. We refused to pay them and were prepared to go back to the ship. The guide talked to the police and agreed to see them when we got back in the afternoon.
I do not know what transpired but that was their problem.
There were 11 of us and we did have a really good day, China Beach, Marble Mountains and Hoi An.
In case you are wondering, I got the name of the guide from a previous review on Tripadvisor...highly rated, and I spoke to him on Skype several times before arrival.
I have had emails from hmi since sincerely apologising and promising it will not happen to visitors again.
Personally I think in retrospect I should have agreed to pay the $20 port fees and be collected from the ship....we were dropped off at the ship on return.
I did actually report the incident when back onboard and they were
going to send a report to their port agents.
