  1. Afterwards, Patti decided to go to the first bingo session of the cruise, and then maybe stay for the Welcome Aboard show. I was going to the 8:30 PG comedy show. Let’s meet the comedians for this cruise….. I arrive for the show about a half hour early and grab a seat in the back at the bar. I get my standard Punchliner drink….. Marcela, the Comedy Host, gets the show started….. This show features Jersey, and the audience immediately gets into it….. He was very funny even though it was a PG show. I can’t wait to see his 18+ show! I made my way to the Lobby bar for a couple of drinks before calling it a night. When I got back to the cabin Patti was already there. No luck at bingo tonight. Coming up next: It’s GREAT to be back at sea day!!
  2. Goodbye Port Canaveral….. The Pilot Boat pulls up, grabs the Pilot, and off they go….. A short time later we get the first sunset of the cruise….. Patti spots a speck on the horizon and when she zooms in on it, discovers that it’s the Mardi Gras, following us out to sea….. We decide to have a drink at the Alchemy Bar before dinner, but when we get there, it is hopelessly crowded. We head up to the Centuries Bar (Casino Bar), where we grab a couple of seats. I still can’t figure out what this thing is….. Patti’s got her Mocha Chocolate Getaway…… Here are some of the Centuries Bar menus….. We decide to just get something to eat from the Freedom Restaurant upstairs. Here are our plates…… To be continued…..
  3. We are now sailing past the boat ramp and Jetty Park. There is always a big crowd to watch the ships sail out….. The Mardi Gras has pushed away from the pier…. We are sailing past the fishing pier and Cocoa Beach….. Patti zooms in on the Riki Tiki Bar on the Cocoa Beach Pier….. To be continued…….
  4. We are sailing past the Victory Casino Ship….. We are now sailing past the Mardi Gras. I was hoping for a horn battle, and the Freedom tried, but the Mardi Gras was casting lines so her Captain was busy with other matters….. To be continued……
  5. We are now sailing by Seafood Atlantic…… Next up is Grill’s….. We are now sailing past the Wonder of the Seas….. To be continued…..
  6. Our spinning completed, we begin to move forward. We say goodbye to the Disney Fantasy and the Norwegian Escape….. Patti saw our hotel in the distance and was able to zoom in on it….. This is the Observation Tower which is being renovated…. We are now sailing past a string of restaurants alongside the channel. First up is Gator’s Dockside….. Sailing past Rusty’s Seafood and Oyster Bar….. We are sailing by Fishlip”s….. To be continued…..
  7. We unpacked our bags and hung out in our cabin until sail away at 3:30. Being that our cabin was on the starboard side, we could enjoy the sail away from our balcony. Since the Freedom was docked at the terminal bow in, she would have to back out and then spin around to head out to sea….. Soon, we could see the Wonder of the Seas and the Mardi Gras in the distance….. As we continued to spin around, our aft end got pretty close to the Norwegian Escape. Their passengers were keeping an eye on us….. To be continued……
  8. Around 1:30 Patti came to collect me at the Red Frog Rum Bar and we headed down to our cabin. All of our luggage was waiting outside of our door. We are staying in cabin # 7439….. Cabin # 7439 is an L shaped cabin with a bowling alley balcony located just in front of the aft wrap on the starboard side. Here is the view from the cabin door….. Here are a couple of cabin views…… We have plenty of closet space….. Our bed faces the window and door for a view of the sea….. This is our balcony….. Looking down on Terminal 6 and the gangways..... Here is some Good to Know information for those that want to know….. To be continued……
  9. Patti moves back up to the Promenade Deck 5, and captures the shops around the Millennium Atrium….. Here are the hours for the shops on this cruise….. 12. Patti decides to head down to the Promenade on Deck 5. As she passes Deck 7, (our deck), she sees a couple of luggage carts waiting to be delivered. I think I see her red “body” bag on the far cart….. Patti has reached the Promenade Deck 5. It is called the Centuries Promenade. All the pictures on the next two pages will be from venues on this deck. This is the Viennese Café (Coffee Bar)….. The Red Frog Pub……. To be continued….
  13. I'm inclined to believe that different ships may have different prices, depending on their suppliers.
  14. Yes, we had noticed that. I think on the Spirit some of the prices were even higher. I don't think I have a picture of the Spirit's menu board, but I think I paid $22 for the Seafood Platter.
  15. Glad to have you along for the ride once again. Enjoy! Thanks for following along!
  16. Glad to have you along for the ride! Awww, thanks for the kind words. Glad to have you aboard. Be sure to take notes!
  17. Hey Dave! Looking forward to your review. Sorry to hear about your knee. I have a friend who just went through what you're going through. His knee replacement was three years old when it happened. Not fun at all. My knee replacement is thirteen years old this month, and still works like a charm. Hopefully, yours will be fine going forward. Hang in there!
  18. Great review! Thanks for sharing! Can't wait for our turn on the Celebration in April. 😎
  19. I'm thinking that you're going to need to plan for transportation after each leg. If your Royal ship is the only one in port that day, you will dock at Terminal 1. If there is more than one royal ship, you could be docking at Terminals 5 or 6. The Glory, which is taking over for the Liberty, will dock at Terminal 3, the same one used by the Mardi Gras. The Freedom usually docks at Terminal 6. None of these scenarios are conducive to walking.
  20. The Pizza Pirate is back here on the Port side….. The Seafood Shack is across the way on the Starboard side….. Across from the Seafood Shack is a Swirls….. Patti heads forward into the Freedom Restaurant and finds a Bonsai Sushi Express on the Starboard side….. On the other side, on the Port side, Patti finds the Deli….. All the way forward in the Freedom Restaurant, you’ll find the Mongolian Wok….. To be continued…..
