  1. Thank you that’s what I thought! Im wondering how it will all work though. If I use my U.K. passport for online check in? How will I show I don’t need ab Estia? All so confusing! :))
  2. It’s always a risk that ports will change. Many years ago on Disney (I think) a stop in Tunisia was changed to a terrorist attack. Safety is paramount.
  3. We haven’t done as many as some but Norway fjords to my breath away. Also sailing into Kotor, Malta and Venice - wow! Caribbean on Galaxy and Bahamas was nice but didn’t wow me though celebrity Galaxy was our first cruise and it got me hooked on cruising!
  4. I would have called housekeeping to address the shower drain. That should not have happened at all imo. I’d also be wanting the loo seat repaired or replaced pronto.
  5. I feel for the people so much. We were on Apex October last year for my bucket list to Israel and had a wonderful time. But it’s always a possibility that it may not happen. Im Cypriot so am sorry I didn’t see this earlier to recommend restaurants for dinner.
  6. I’ve just asked on another thread how it will work for dual nationals. I asked my TA. They didn’t know You can only provide one passport for online check in, so if I use my EU one will I need to show I don’t need visa to come to U.K.? if I use my British passport to check in I’ll have to show I have an ETIAS? All so confusing! They all said if I used my EU passport for online check in I couldn’t ask the British consulate for help if necessary. I can’t see how that is right? God for the days before Brexit, when it was easier and I’d no need of another passport!
  7. Yes it did. We applied for our EU passports as soon as the vote was decided; mainly so ours dcs could also have the EU passports, in case they ever wanted to work in Europe it would be easier for them. And I’ve of them did and worked in france for a while. Much easier for them than their friends who had to supply multiple documents!
  8. Oh I have lots of ideas in my head. QM to New York bit of a driving holiday Visit Boston maybe try and do a couple of cruises in the Americas region Panama South America Alaska Iguazzu (my favourite place on earth) Sail back on another ship possibly from Argentina/Brazil as I said all ideas in my head but how much in reality 🤣 I would need a good TA to help sort it and a hefty bank balance which currently I don’t have. But a dream is nice! One day maybe x
  9. Thank you that’s what I thought. we leave and enter the U.K. with our British passports but when we arrive or leave the EU we use our EU passports or ID. Especially since some countries are having separate lines for EU and Non EU with U.K. now sometimes in the Non EU line as it should be now we’ve left. That sounds garbled but hope you understand! We always travel with both passports.
  10. Anyone know what happens if the ETIAS (?) comes into force? We have EU passports and British passports. We’ve been told by our TA if we use our EU passports to check in we can’t get help from British embassy. If we don’t use our EU passports then we May have to Apple for ETIAS ? which we don’t technically need. Not sure if that’s corrrect wonder if anyone knows.
  11. Ahh brilliant thank you. It’s crazy I never thought of them! We are in Cyprus so often as we have a family house there.
  12. I don’t eat them at all! I love most food but cannot abide mashed potatoes. Except for my mum’s and then not often! Edit: we are in an SV in June so have made several speciality reservations just in case! Menus have disappeared from our upcoming Beyond cruise on the 20th this month. I’m hoping lobster roll is still available in Luminae 😍
  13. We just book Speciality dining for the restaurants we want so as to get when we want. Done LPC once and Wouldn’t bother again. But nice as a novelty. Food wasn’t great we didn’t think.
  14. 2 lines DCL Celebrity Have a Regent cruise booked Due to health I can no longer fly long haul so most of our cruises are in Europe. Still trying to persuade dh for a QM transatlantic. Those who have sailed Celestyal/Louis (sp?) what did you think please? @Essiesmom and @Izzywiz We are often in Cyprus and have never thought of them!
  15. We have our first Regent cruise on Splendor booked in October next year. What time are the theatre shows roughly please?
  16. Thank you @Veinless. We had looked at swapping our June cruise to Princess but had a family clash so had to stick with Celebrity. I swapped in the end to an SV from a CS as I couldn’t justify almost £20,000 for a CS. That’s mad money. Now I’m open to trying out other lines I sort of excited doing research!
  17. Or to push people towards speciality dining. Maybe I’m just cynical 😁
  18. Thank you - I’m looking forward to trying it out @PhD-iva. (Great name) We don’t cruise much as others on here as dh isn’t as keen so we/I have to compromise 😁 I love cruising and would be happy (but poor) if I lived on a ship full time!
  19. I’ll just add PH on Constellation was amazing. Omg the balcony. Several years ago but we were told we could have what we wanted within reason. Dcs liked the buffet for lunch, seeing them coming back with their food one day, butler took it off them and brought it in. He then asked every day what they wanted! They didn’t take him up on his kind offer though as they liked going up to choose.
  20. I mainly eat fish. On Apex in Luminae I had to send my fish back so many times as either raw or overcooked. I ended up ordering either the meat or veggie options. Fine but I’m also gluten free. In June we were Aqua. I didn’t need to send my fish back once!
  21. I hope this isn’t the case as I always use the same person at U.K. celebrity. I used a TA for my Regent cruise next year as I wanted advice on different cruise lines that offer similar style service to the Retreat. If I were to book Celebrity again then I would book on board or through Celebrity U.K.
