  1. When it is served plated there is a meat and cheese plate, a fruit plate, a pastry plate, a bagel & salmon & cream cheese plate. Also two or three smoothies, juices, coffee drinks, teas, mimosas, bloody mary’s and bellinis. No eggs or hot foods.
  2. Today is the 20th. Do you think we’ll see any news about this issue?
  3. My point is that there are a few “one size fits all” options. Your bad idea might be someone else’s good idea.
  4. I think he must’ve missed something there are two this year. The beyond has a 14 day Crossing ending in Fort Lauderdale and the constellation has a 16 day Crossing ending in Tampa. Where do you see a 13 day Crossing? Which ship?
  5. The arrival time at 11:30 indicates to me that perhaps this ship transfer involves a tour of some sort? If so, then you will probably be leaving the ship around 8 AM, with a two- or three-hour tour. Is that the case in the transfer you are considering?
  6. What time is the flight? some things to consider when choosing the self Disembark option — They request that you be the first passengers off, and many start lining up as early as 6:30 am — You need to be able to move all your luggage by yourself with no assistance from the ships staff — It is not appropriate for people with mobility issues
  7. Virgin doesn’t precisely do a status match. Elite, Elite Plus and zenith all get the same benefit.
  8. Well yes, but you earned the points on the first cruise so you got the new status on the second one. Normally it takes about a week to ten days for the new status to register but the Captains Club host can speed that up in the case of a back to back they can get it done in time for the second cruise. What doesn’t happen is this……if you are on a ten day cruise and you acquire sufficient point for the new level on the fifth day, you don’t get the new level during that cruise. The new level will come on your next cruise.
  9. I have seen this reported on certain Alaska cruises. Have you seen reports of this for Cruises elsewhere?
  10. I don’t think your shore side concierge can charge things to your on board credit. You have to go into your booking and put in the order yourself.
  11. You can’t set any OBC aside for any specific use. You just start putting things on your account and as long as there is OBC to offset it they use the OBC, nonrefundable first then refundable.
  12. In the cruising world, “tips” “gratuities” and “service charges” are used interchangeably.
  13. Yes, they are not restaurant staff in the sense that waiters are.
  14. All included does not cover specialty dining, (nor spa and salon for that matter)
  15. Cafe al Bacio. All special coffees that do not include alcohol.
  16. Actually you are allowed to name the site, just not groups within it that “compete” with this one. But back to your question, the butlers are i cluded in the pre-paid gratuities, but not at a very large amount. Suite gratuities are more than non suite, but not by much.
  17. Don’t go to Manage Cruise and Cruise History. Instead, go to My Tiers and Points and then Points History.
  18. If you are certain that you have earned some, you might need to call Captain’s Club. On the other hand, if your total is what you expect, then maybe just let it go
  19. Ships have been sailing nearly full. You can ask when you get on board but don’t be surprised to see a sign on the Guest Relations desk that there are no upgrades available
