  1. Russia: you do not need visa if you plan to do ship's tours. You will if you plan to tour independently.

And yes, part of the WC package is that Regent does the visas. Will that work going forward? Who knows but I'm sure they are working on it. It's been fine in the past.

  2. I don't live near any Consulates so have always used a service. Or done what I can, on line.

I'll be on 22WC and at this point, the visas which might be needed are Australia, China, New Zealand, Vietnam, Cambodia and possibly Russia.

The India/Brazil information was "just because" and not specific to the cruise.

  3. Linda VH,

Regent has a pre-dinner get-together nightly for solo travelers in one of the lounges, hosted by a Staff Member. If you like, you can join the group for dinner.

I've done it a number of times and it's a lovely way to meet people and to have company for dinner.

    Very low key and enjoyable.

haha - just heard that RSS are taking advantage of current situation to undertake maintenance & mini-refurbishments for all the fleet at the Italian Shipyards.

I would also expect any Covid safe physical changes will be made across the fleet at the same time ready for a restart in late spring/early summer.😀

    I hope you're right . . . .

  5. Karen,

On World Cruise, on sea days there are normally 2 lectures in the morning. The people change each segment and if there are numbers of sea days, lecturers change during a segment. There are also a variety of other activities in the afternoon - bridge, art/craft classes - that sort of thing.

Crystal lets you know ahead of time who the lectures will be by posting on their web site, Regent does not.

I don't know about the Grand Arctic trips - I've not been on one -  but there are far fewer sea days - only 21 on the entire 22GA trip -  so I have to assume that although there will probably be two lecturers per segment, the multi-sea day issue as you talked about on the Crystal 19WC does not happen.

The lecturers are the same standard as on Crystal - I've done several Crystal World Cruises in the not-to-distant past. Of course, it depends on their fields.

    I don't think you'll be disappointed.
