Sadly, some donor families went looking for payment if they thought patients had money. I am sure this is a rare occurrence but you have to be careful.

One of Charlie’s transplant doctors said it is better to not meet the donor’s family. Send a letter of thanks if you wish but not too much information about yourself.

MJ, it is a long road to travel but once they get in the groove things should be good. A positive Attitude is very important.

Today is the 20th anniversary of Charlie’s heart transplant. So hard to believe. On a sad note, for me anyway, my Goldfish, Fishy Wishy, almost eight died today. He was the only one who listened to me and would get so excited when he saw me. Of course, he was waiting to get fed! However I am still sad😢
