Fire Alarm on the Queen Victoria

My friends are currently on board the QV. This morning at 6.30am the fire alarm went off - apparently a fire in the engine room- which was taken care of shortly! Everything seems to be back to normal now!

That must have been a rude awakening, glad to hear that everything is OK now.

We've had a few interesting alarms. One a kitchen fire during formal night dinner (the assessment team racing through Britannia in their dress uniforms), and another time someone had draped an article of clothing over a stateroom lamp which had begun to smolder.

A more interesting time was when the ship lost all power at sea during dinner for about 10 minutes. The WiFi remained operational as did the terminals in the pantries where they run drinks charges...
