Pamela1 Posted February 25, 2016 #26 Share Posted February 25, 2016 I think that folks should just post as they like as long as it's not offending anyone. :)
flossie009 Posted February 28, 2016 #27 Share Posted February 28, 2016 Some philosophy from Will Rogers (1897-1935), that may be of use when posting on this forum: - Never miss a good chance to shut up - If you find yourself in a hole, stop digging - There are three kinds of people: the ones that learn by reading the few who learn by observation the rest of them have to touch an electric fence - Good judgment comes from experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgment. - There are two theories to arguing with women….....neither work 2
Travelcat2 Posted March 1, 2016 #28 Share Posted March 1, 2016 If we follow Cruise Critic guidelines, we'll be fine. Our posts should be about cruising -- experiences on board -- ports, etc. We are all entitled to our opinions. We may disagree with each other, however, making personal slams against any poster is not what most of us are here for.
Pamela1 Posted August 18, 2016 #29 Share Posted August 18, 2016 People should post without being negative of others thoughts.
Travelcat2 Posted August 18, 2016 #30 Share Posted August 18, 2016 As stated only a couple of posts ago, we all need to follow Cruise Critic Guidelines. I read them every few months just to keep current. Cruise Critic owns this site and what they say goes.
Pamela1 Posted August 18, 2016 #31 Share Posted August 18, 2016 People should really read them then and make sure they agree with the fact that we all have differing opinions and they should be respected.
Travelcat2 Posted October 6, 2016 #32 Share Posted October 6, 2016 Keep in mind that many things are subjective. Food probably tops the list - what I like may not be what you like. When you ask a question it is helpful if you mention if you reside outside of North America as the answers may be different for the part of the world that you live in. Smile, have a good attitude, read all opinions and realize that at the end of the day, you will be the one to draw conclusions and make the decisions that are best for you. There are many country specifics such as cruise prices, deposits, cancellation penalties, special offers, air arrangements, cancellation & medical insurance, TA discounts, credit card offers etc. etc.
Travelcat2 Posted February 20, 2017 #34 Share Posted February 20, 2017 When someone asks about Regent policies and a poster shares it with you, please don't "shoot the messenger". We don't make the policies, we only share them.:) Many of questions can be answered on Regent's website. Travelcat2 Posted May 3, 2017 #35 Share Posted May 3, 2017 A tip about new threads. Sometimes it seems easier to bring up an old thread rather than starting a new one. IMO, old threads could contain information that is no longer relevant. Many things have changed in the last couple of years on Regent. Starting a new thread is easy and the Thread Starter will get up to date information.
irishwitchy Posted November 2, 2017 #36 Share Posted November 2, 2017 Some posts seem to be deleted in the middle of the night, what is the criteria for a post to be deleted? That may help folks going forward. Thank you.
DaveFr Posted November 2, 2017 #37 Share Posted November 2, 2017 Some posts seem to be deleted in the middle of the night, what is the criteria for a post to be deleted? That may help folks going forward. Thank you. If you click on the blue triangle in the upper right corner of a post, you’ll be taken to the “Report Post” page. That page says: “Note: Use this form to report spam, advertising messages, and problematic (harassment, fighting, or rude) posts.” I assume that violations of the Cruise Critic Guidelines also lead to deleted posts.
