Live Oasis of the Seas Western Aug 19 thread

Recommended Posts

Currently at the guacamole class and am pretty disappointed. :( Only two participate while the rest of us sit far away. Some on table had no vision at all of the instructor or demo.

There was a party at Aquatheatre that was at full volume on speakers with music and we were unable to hear any of the lesson as it overpowered her.

We do get free chips and salsa and a margarita, however.

This is a skip thing. I'd rather be at the pool. Too bad they didn't organize it better. But hey, we are still on the ocean and it's still better than a day at home!

Speaking of home... My younger sister just texted me to say my kitten somehow is in the ceiling... Eek. I leave home for two days, people, lol

I can't comment on that as I had a private escort onto the ship because of my career..

Hmm, shall we start the speculation on that? I may have skipped that reference. Anyway, thanks for taking the time.

I used to be a popular figure in video gaming, broke ground as being the first female to do some stuff competitively in pro circuit Internet being internet, received credible death threats from upset teen boys about a girl in their video game and Royal takes security seriously :)

Anyway, we saw Oasis of Dreams last night. Fantastic. My God. I want to see it again. We somehow didn't see it three years ago. I won't spoil it but I'll post some pictures tonight on my Instagram.

The ship was wild last night. We went to a PACKED rock-a-rokie in Dazzles. Like.. sitting on stairs packed. These amateur singers could SING. It's karaoke with a live band. I decided against singing my terrible offkey songs, haha. Some people had way too much to drink and there was no security. One girl grinded on the poor keyboard player for two songs. One man in his 50s kept jumping onstage to yell BOOOM into the mic any chance he could. It was a people watching highlight.

Today we have the full day beach bed rental in Labadee. I'm pretty excited for it! We get a bed with two towels, two floating mats, a cooler of Evian water, and a waiter. We are bringing sun tan lotion so our pale Canadian skin can not be so white. That's the dream, anyway.

We just arrived to Labadee! Announcement was just made. Time to get out of PJs and get some sun.

Please update if the beach bed is worth the money. I've done cabana's in the past and they are great but just can't justify the money for two people when neither of us are really beach people.

We have done the beach beds twice and love them. With only 2, we could not justify the cabana cost. It’s fun to have all the zip liners screaming and yelling as they sail overhead ! We would do it again if it were only the two of us.

Sorry for not posting last night! I kept getting Cruise Critic is offline messages.

The beach beds were wonderful. They're very, very comfortable and you get two floating mats, a cooler of 6 1L Evian water, towels, and 3 beach chairs. You're out by the swim up bar too. The zipliners fly over you which is pretty amusing.

For disability cruisers, they have wonderful locals who will push you in a wheelchair to where you want to go. We had a nice, hardworking guy named Stevenson whom we have $10 to. He said he would come back to get us at 2 as I asked how we get help back.He did! The poor guy was so hot, sweating bullets, so we gave him one of the waters we were taking back. He was so appreciative!

I would get the bed again. You're away from crowds and close to a quieter (no line) lunch. You have a waiter come by to check on you every 45 minutes or so.

We had a great dinner at American Icon last night. I had escargot, crab cake for starter. I couldn't resist both. Ahi Tuna for main was huge, I couldn't finish it...yet found room for the Grand Marinier Souffle. That was amazing.

We are at Jamaica. Just going to go shopping then get ready for Prohibition Party tonight!
