Jan the City Fan Posted January 5, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 5, 2018 Hi, We will be in Key West for the day in May on Carnival Breeze. Is there anywhere to entertain a 5 year old, what attractiona are best?.
Rare Keith1010 Posted January 5, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 5, 2018 Lots of good options: There is the aquarium. A ride on the Conch Train I would do both of these. Maybe some ice cream afterwards would be nice too. Keith
CT Sean Posted January 5, 2018 #3 Share Posted January 5, 2018 Ripley's Museum (north end of Duval) and the Butterfly Conservatory (closer to the south end of Duval) are kid friendly as well.

kctwinmommy Posted January 10, 2018 #6 Share Posted January 10, 2018 The aquarium there has a lot of hands on things to do. And it's not very big, but a lot of things. I would also say the butterfly conservatory. We had a great time at both those things. Through the shark's mouth by Cindy, on Flickr They have beautiful birds at the butterfly conservatory as well! Herfnerd Posted January 12, 2018 #8 Share Posted January 12, 2018 The aquarium is extremely small - to be honest, its not really worth the visit. There are opportunities to feed sharks (and my wife got to) but other than that we weren't impressed.
aprilgwynne10 Posted January 18, 2018 #9 Share Posted January 18, 2018 Thanks for the info. Some good ideas to think about .:D I took my girls there for spring break when they were a little older than yours. They loved the Butterfly Conservatory. They also loved the beach at Fort Zachary Taylor- bring water shoes as there is not sand like a normal beach, but it is the perfect depth for little ones to wade and find shells. Also, don't forget to get gelato- my girls loved the little gelato shops- even more than the Key Lime Pie. There is also a cute little turtle museum by the docks- that was also a favorite and there are spots there to buy food for the fish floating around. It really is a great trip for children.
