Valentines Day Oosterdam

:')Should we expect any special events?5th cruise but sailing alone with my husband for first time, no kids no parents!

We sailed HAL a number of times on Valenttines and they always had a flower (rose or carnation) for the ladies and the stewards would igve them to us in MDR when we finished dinne.r

We have sailed over Valentines quite a few times.

Most ship's had a Valentine's dance in the Crow's Nest.

Never got any kind of a flower in the dining room.

The worse one we had was on the Noordam. After leaving Ft Lauderdale we had 2 sea days. The 14th was the 2nd sea day. One would have thought that the Noordam would have had the second sea day be the formal night. Nope -- it was the 1st sea day. As a result on Valentine's day there was absolutely nothing!!

My experience was the same as Krazy Kruizer's. Nothing:(

We were on 2 Westerdam over Valentine's Day 2010 and nothing, not even a Happy Valentine's Day mention from the Captain or CD.

I was expecting at least a "mention" from the Captain nor CD over the PA during one of the 2 daily scheduled PA Sessions.
