What is the name of the store you mentioned? I want to Google it.

How do you get there from the port?

thanks!!

The store name is Bahama art and handicraft, on the website it gives you directions with a map. I don't think it is far from port. wanted to copy the map but for some reason I can't. Hope this helps. They have very lovely items reasonably priced.

Coming from Downtown?

Head east until you see the Harbour Bay Shopping Centre and turn into it

Drive straight over until you reach Shirley Street. Turn on to it.

Two doors before the next stop light, on your right is Bahama Art

Catching a bus from Cable Beach?

Catch a #10 bus from Cable Beach to downtown.

When downtown, walk to 'Rawson Square' catch a #9a bus (they line up in front of Scotia Bank)

The #9a will eventually run right past Bahama Art on Shirley St. as shown on the map above. Make sure you get off before the light at the Kemp Road / Shirley Street intersection

Coming from Paradise Island / Atlantis?

Cross over the bridge

Head east until you see the Harbour Bay Shopping Centre and turn right to enter.

Drive straight over until you reach Shirley Street. Turn on to it.

Two doors before the next stop light, on your left is Bahama Art.

John Bull has great perfume and cosmetics - it is the European lines from France all duty free shopping. John Waitlings Distillery - you can take a free tour of the distillery and sample rums - they have great rums and those make terrific and very unique gifts. Bahama Art and Handicraft does have beautiful stuff...wish they were closer to the ship :( I would take a cab and negotiate a rate for the cab to wait on you while you browse...it's only a 7 - 10 minute drive each way but jitneys are kind of slow...there's no jitney schedule either so you just wait until one shows up...island life!

You can get flavored rums and cakes within a 5 minute walk from the Hilton - there is a store called Duty Free Liquor on the corner of Fredrick St. and Woods Rogers walk...from the Hilton, head toward Señor Frogs and keep walking in that direction...it will be on your right :)
