Enchantment - under 21 in the lounge/bar

I will be traveling with an 18 year and 20 year old. I know they can't go to the teen club since it is 17 and under. Will they be able to go into the lounges, bars, and Viking Club at night with me? I know they can't drink, just wondering if they can get in and hang out with us. If not, is there any nightlife for 18-20 year olds?

They can go to any bar, the casino (and gamble too), and the nightclub.

Thanks! I had a quick "freak out" moment that the only thing the 2 of them would be able to do is stay in their room while we are out and about which is what we are trying to avoid (they are boyfriend and girlfriend). Glad to know they can come hang out with us (aka....we can keep an eye on them...lol).

Far as I know, they can do anything an adult can do, except consume alcoholic beverages.

NCL has an alcohol waiver for beer and wine in international water:

“Passengers must be 21 years of age or older to purchase or consume alcohol. With the exception of Alaska and Hawaii itineraries, Norwegian permits young adults to purchase and personally consume wine and beer only while onboard and with the consent of an accompanying parent. Authorization will be given only when the accompanying parent completes the Young Adult Alcoholic Beverage Waiver form. This form can be obtained and completed at the Guest Services Desk upon embarkation of the vessel. However, passengers 18 years of age or older are permitted to consume beer and wine when sailing on round-trip European and Australian voyages without having to complete the Young Adult Alcoholic Beverage Waiver form.”

You do realize you are not posting on the NCL boards, right? These people are sailing RCI - what other cruise lines do or do not do wouldn’t apply.

My boys were your kids age on this past Christmas cruise and they were able to come and go into any area as long as they aren't drinking. The adults would usually find a bar to hang out in after dinner and the boys would come and hang or come in and out as they wanted with no issues. My 20 year old son even played Blackjack in the casino with my husband a few nights. We don't have a problem with the boys drinking in moderation, so when we were in port in the Caribbean, they were able to have a beer here and there, so that was a big treat for them.

Sorry but this is not relevant. Does not apply to a RC ship. Drinking age is 21 when sailing from a US port - no waivers.

Bars on the ship are not like bars on land. You can bring your small kids, up to a certain hour at night. You can simply go to a bar and sit..ordering drinks is NOT required!

Truth. As long as your young adults don't do anything stupid, no one will look twice at them being in bars on the ship. I saw more toddlers dancing in Boleros than adults. It's a very relaxed atmosphere, no carding, no bouncers. Drink, don't drink, no problem.
