Lots of folks rave about the chicken salad served at the IC. Is this served on a sandwich, or is it a true salad with greens, eaten with fork?

It is just the chicken salad...not a salad with lettuce. Sometimes they had little sandwiches with the chicken salad...mmm! :)

Everything is served on little dessert plates, not big portions. However, it is yummy. The best sandwiches served. and they are really good size. I ate there several times on our 7 day cruise. so much better than going to the buffet for lunch.that was on the Star Princess.

Yes, I think it is open, though I did not go there until later so I cannot say for sure. I do know I first sampled it on the first day of the cruise and I loved it! I used it alot for breakfast, lunch and a snack.

You're welcome!! We would stop there quite often...There were little sandwiches, quiche, marinated mushrooms, cheesecake...etc..and everything was really good!! Oh, and you must try the freshly baked chocolate chip cookies!! They are to die for!!:D

It was open at noon when we boarded the Emerald in June. We too found it a desirable alternative to the Horizon Court for both breakfast and lunch. Obviously there aren't as many choices but the pastries for breakfast and the small sandwiches and various salads (try the shrimp - large shrimp lightly coated in olive oil and herbs) were wonderful and the atmosphere in the Piazza is much calmer than in the buffet.
