New Cruiser 13 Posted May 15, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 15, 2004 Got a little problem getting from the port. I thought I had a ride from someone I know and now (a week before the cruise) they are not able too. Looking for some advise from the many traveler on this board on a low cost way to get there. When I get back from the cruise I plan on staying in FLL for a couple of days so I guess I will hail a taxi to a car rental location in Mia. and return it at the FLL airport. Thought I read that Avis has an office at the port but called them and they don't. RCCL has the shuttle for $20pp but I was wondering if anyone knew a better deal. brnworld Posted May 16, 2004 #6 Share Posted May 16, 2004 Most of the car ental company's have a shuttle that will pick you up at the port and take you to the rental place. No reason to pay for a cab. I would go ahead and reserve now to make sure they have the right sized car for you.

honeymooners123 Posted May 19, 2004 #9 Share Posted May 19, 2004 We called royal caribbean and they are sending someone to meet us at baggage claim in Ft. L. and taking us to the ship, for $36 per person, round trip. You just call the 800 number.
superjerryw Posted May 19, 2004 #10 Share Posted May 19, 2004 Tricounty will put you in a Town Car from FLL to Miami for $55. Just go outside the baggage claim area to the Tricounty kiosk. They also have a share-a-ride service that is $15 per person but it may make multiple stops. Donuts, is there anything they can't do....
