What did you win on your Carnival cruise?

I won the free cruise for two raffle in a Cat 6A cabin while on the Conquest. Now, I see someone said they won a free cruise ina Cat 12, that would NEVER be given away as a free cruise bingo or raffle--it would cost to upgrade to a Cat 12. I know, I paid to upgrade to a 8A and paid $400 to upgrade.......

Other than that, I have donated several thousand dollars to the Casino and my mom walked away with $1800 and only spent around $80 max to get that $1800.....Me, I am still waiting for a big casino win.....

Were you there? Man, I am sick and tired of the "know it alls" on here ready with a "you lie" response. Are you all this miserable in person? Sure, you won something different and paid for an upgrade. I am sure that means EVERY single game of Bingo for a free cruise in the ENTIRE history of Carnival is EXACTLY the same as your game when you won. Makes total sense. Shame on that member for making up the penthouse story.

Ok, back to our regularily scheduled program...

I was lucky on my first ever cruise (Imagination).... won $1,000 on video poker... mysteriously that machine was down for repairs after that! :)

My luckiest cruise was on the Miracle! I won $1,000 on Wheel of Fortune and then won $3,500 on one of those 5 times dollar slots!! I don't normally play dollar machines, but tried a couple twenties this cruise. Next cruise I tried a couple, but was not lucky. :(

Weird thing about the machine I won $3,500 on though - I just had this feeling I wanted to play it that night. Thought I better quit while I was ahead after quickly winning the $3,500. Not so smart! A few spins after the next person sat down (and of course I had to be there to watch)... it hit $10,000!!! Was happy for that guy - but still a little shocked that I was a couple spins away from such a big jackpot!!!

I'm going to assume that you didn't mean this to sound like you are calling me a liar, but I assure you that my sister did in fact win a free Cat 12 while on the Holiday in 2001. Here is that part of my cruise history:

2/24/2002Carnival InspirationWestern CaribbeanU887spacer.gifspacer.gifspacer.gifspacer.gifspacer.gif7/14/2001HolidayLower CaribbeanM757

I thought that perhaps they had changed the classification of that cabin but when checking the deck plans I see that U88 is still in fact a Cat 12.

There are many things that have changed about bingo in the past 8 years since I started cruising again. I no longer play much bingo because the big wins have been cut way back.

I don't know if the Penthouse Suite is a Cat 12 but that is what I won . . . .playing bingo in 1998. It was the morning we were to get off the ship and all week long they promoted the "grand prize bingo" while waiting in the main theater to get off the ship. The card was $20 and the game was a cover all. If you won, you got to pick the ship and got the penthouse suite for a 7 night cruise. We won!

.

This is exactly the way that sister won the free cat-12. Blackout bingo.

I think they've changed to raffle tickets and I don't know how much they cost or do you get a raffle ticket for every bingo card that you buy???? See I really don't play that much anymore, I don't even know the rules now. I might buy one triple on each cruise but that's about it.

I won $300 in Bingo and another $250 at 3 Card Poker on the Spirit on the spring of '07.

Was on the Valor in Sept./Oct. of this year and won over $750 at 3 Card poker.

I am really not much of a gambler, but that 3 Card Poker game has been good to me.

Since there was a large group of us traveling together on the Valor, a bunch of the guys played Texas Hold 'EM in one of the small conference rooms on one of the sea days. I think I lost about 5 bucks, but it was alot of fun!

We won the past guest raffle for a free 3, 5 or 7 day cruise while on the Pride a year or 2 ago. Went on the Conquest last February for our free cruise. Bought $20 worth of raffle tickets during the past guest party and we did it again.

Gotta say that I was a little worried to fly home after that. Thought we might have used up all of our good luck.

From the passenger evaluation forms on The Miracle I was picked as a semi-finalist for a free cruise, which I figured I'd never hear anything about again. One month later I was notified by mail that my name was picked from all the semii-finalists as THE winner for the quarter: 7 day cruise of my choice, oceanview. We cruised on The Triumph, only had to pay the taxes, naturally, and the value of the cruise must be listed on your tax returns, naturally, we wouldn't the government to be cheated out of anything they never earned!!

Anybody won big at Bingo? What about in the Casinos? :D

I've never won bingo. But, I have two very cherished 24 carot plastic ships on a stick for winning trivia on the Glory and Legend. Last cruise, I won dinner for 2 in the supper club from the casino raffle.:D And I NEVER win ANYTHING. Whoo hoo. Can hardly wait for the Liberty.

On my very first cruise I was 9 years old and won $96 playing Bingo. I thought I was SOOOO RICH!

On my Honeymoon I won a SHIP ON A STICK!!

On the Splendor this year I won enough money playing poker to cover my entire vacation, all expenses and had an extra $400 in my pocket!

On the Elation this year I was a complete loser! I didn't win anything. Only one away from winning $500 @ bingo. Tisk Tisk

Love video poker as you can tell by my screen name and happy to say I hit two royals on the Splendor two weeks ago. I didn't think that was possible on a cruise ship! I was only playing quarters so they were $1,000 each.

Congrats on the royals - I don't play a great deal, and have ONLY been lucky enough to get one while practicing on my computer.

BTW - The odds of getting a royal on a ship's VP game are no different from those at land based casinos. The only difference is the pay tables, which are pretty poor at sea!

Congrats on your two free cruises!!! My wife and I won the same free cruise on the Pride also this past year. Going on the Legend this March, hopefully we will be as lucky as you were.:D

Oh no, now we are going to get 20 pages of Cruisers telling how they always win on a cruise. And do you know why? ........................ Because, I am one of those losers who finances their winnings. I play all the Bingo Games and do my part in the Casino. All to no avail. I do hope you all appreciate my efforts.

I do, thank you very much. When I was on my last cruise, I won $500.00 in Bingo and $3,500.00 in the casino. That money has paid for my May cruise and my Oct cruise next year. I give it right back to Carnival.

Won a medal for the making a unique masquerade mask on our Panama Canal cruise. It was made with feathers from a boa I had brought with me and the bottom of a tissue box - all taped to a pencil to hold across the eyes. Would have rather had a ship on a stick lol...
