Cruise to Israel and Greece?

Recommended Posts

First, be aware that the larger cruise ships don't include Israel on their itinerary because the intensive security screening process for passengers would take too long with several thousands passengers. So, you are looking at lines that use smaller (like 700 passenger) ships.

Princess has a Holy Lands itinerary several times per year on one of its small ships. It's not offered that often. One itinerary sails from Athens and includes Santorini and Patmos, then Ephesus, 2 stops in Israel, 2 stops in Egypt, then to Italy (Sorrento and disembark in Rome).

Some other lines with smaller ships might have similar itineraries -- like Azamara, HAL, or Oceania.
