wwinfl91 Posted October 25, 2009 #3 Share Posted October 25, 2009 Yes, HAL ship casinos use US dollars. You can pay cash each day for chips or can set up an account against a credit card. Have a great first HAL cruise.
yogi2929 Posted October 25, 2009 #4 Share Posted October 25, 2009 You do not need to have cash on your person to play. Cash can be obtained thru a slot machine using your card. The Casino Host will show you how to do it. This will save you a 3% fee over an ATM or the Cage.
cb at sea Posted October 26, 2009 #5 Share Posted October 26, 2009 Cash in hand is the best way to gamble---you really don't want to "charge" your gambling expenses. All ships take U.S.Dollars.
bcirish Posted October 26, 2009 #6 Share Posted October 26, 2009 Westerdam and Eurodam slots were moving to cashless- you put cash in- the credit goes to your room card. It stores on that card and when you go to the next machine - you put as much as you want into a machine. If you want additional money - you can use your shipboard credit and then before the end of the trip you may choose to pay it any way you please - think if it is cash or check you make arrangements either before you get on or when you get on. Do not know the table details - think you can set up an account for that too. Enjoy- we love HAL
