MDR lunch on port days?

We haven't sailed on HAL for a while, but leave Sunday on the Ryndam. Does HAL serve lunch in the main dining room on port days? We've noted that a lot of cruise lines do not do that any longer. Sometimes it's just nice to have a relaxing, bit more upscale lunch than the buffet or pool food.

My experience has been that the dining room is NOT open for lunch on port days, with few exceptions. Your options are the Lido and room service. Don't know about the Pinnacle Grill.

On some ships, (Maasdam), you will find Pinnacle and/or dining room open in many ports. Not always but sometimes. Actually, I think they usually have one of the other open.

As always the daily program will be the final arbiter of the dining venues. We've found that the MDR is open less than half of the port day lunches.
