39august Posted December 9, 2009 #1 Share Posted December 9, 2009 It's been a few years since we've sailed Princess and I have a few questions. Does Platinum status get any perks? Are price drops honored and if so, up to when? Does Princess offer any residency, senior and/or military discounted rates on selected sailings and catagories? Are you still allowed to carry wine on board? And I've just read a post that you can now use your card in a slot machine, set up an account, and then withdraw the cash for no charge. When we cruised Princess there was a 3% charge to get cash from the casino. Is this correct? If so, I am surprised as most lines are adding charges, not dropping them! paul929207 Posted December 9, 2009 #2 Share Posted December 9, 2009 I can answer a couple. Platinum members get an internet credit. The amount depends on the length of the cruise. It ranges from $75 to $200. Yes, yo can carry wine on board. If you want to drink it with dinner, there is a $15 corkage fee. No corkage to drink in your cabin. caribill Posted December 9, 2009 #3 Share Posted December 9, 2009 It's been a few years since we've sailed Princess and I have a few questions. Does Platinum status get any perks? See the benefits at https://book.princess.com/captaincircle/jsp/memberShipBenefitsForProspect.jsp Are price drops honored and if so, up to when? Any price drop that is not restricted to a new booking is honored up until sailing. However, most price drops after final payment date are only available to completely new bookings so practically, you will not get to take advantage of a price drop after final payment date. Does Princess offer any residency, senior and/or military discounted rates on selected sailings and catagories? Sometimes there will be targeted offer based on residency. No discounts in the other areas you ask about. Are you still allowed to carry wine on board? Yes And I've just read a post that you can now use your card in a slot machine, set up an account, and then withdraw the cash for no charge. If you get cash this way there is no service charge. If you get cash by asking the casino cashier to get it from your onbaord account, the 3% service charge still applies.
