Mazzyd Posted January 7, 2010 #2 Share Posted January 7, 2010 I am new here. Not at all new to forum or bulletin boards and I see all the ladies referring to their men as a DH. What the heck does that mean!!! lol Hi Killswitch :)...I too was unsure :( what DH meant, but after reading many posts over the past few months I now believe that it means Darling (or Dear?) Husband, hubby etc. Seems it is most commonly used by Americans and as I am an Aussie it was not something that I had come across before joining this Forum. Cheers, Mazzy
read52 Posted January 7, 2010 #3 Share Posted January 7, 2010 It means Darling husband. DD means darling daughter. It is use a lot on another site that I read. People shorten everything so it is less typing.
paul929207 Posted January 7, 2010 #4 Share Posted January 7, 2010 I live in America and have 70,000 posts on another forum and have never heard the term or abbreviation. I'm also not fond of internet or text speak. Why cant they just say husband? lol DH is five fewer keystrokes than husband. That is five fewer chances to have a typo.
