Not as such, but have you checked out your Bank? Some Banks offer an account upgrade for a smal fee, but offer Travel Insurance part of the privelage?

Thats right but they are sometimes a very basic form of travel insurance.Check the small print. Try wwwtravelsupermarket.com. I have just taken out a family single trip policy for £10.00

Just been wondering about insurance. I've always used the agents' policies in the past but these are a bit expensive. I assume a Mediterranean cruise counts as a European holiday? Do you have to specify anywhere that you are on a cruise?

I think the insurance companies have differing areas and prices, e.g Europe, World excluding USA/Caribbean and whole world etc. If your cruise touches on Turkey it might be classed as world.

 

hows this for additional cover for three pre existing conditions.

 

Egypt/Jordan plus £4.45 - 7nights

Caribbean plus £49 - 14 nights

 

apparently it is the USA area that has the most expensive insurance.

My mum and dad use the British Mountaineering Council as they were the only company that would give them anything like a reasonable quote for their pre-existing (but stable) medical conditions. We use the one supplied through the Co-op Bank, a comprehensive Axa policy, as we have nothing to declare.

On a cruise you generally enter the furthest port of call. For Red Sea magic that was Jordan and both Jordan and Egypt are covered under a European policy.

Try manorinsurance.co.uk who got us a worldwide annual policy with Fortis (both of us with pre existing medical conditions) for £117 for us both!! We could not beat that anywhere.....and you can do it online!!

Don't know what the equivalent in U.K. or Europe would be but the VHI (private health insurance) in Ireland do a very good travel Insurance 69.00 for Husband and Wife for 1 year anywhere in the world.

I don't think it needs to be specific 'cruise' insurance....as long as it will cover you for all the countries you are visiting.....

We always get a worldwide annual insurance ...and have had to claim once with no problems.

Just booked my insurance with them at a bargain price. The cover appears to be little different to most other insurers.

I always make sure that it includes cruises,espically for helicopter emergencies

I looked at your insurers and it turns out they would insure us with the same ones our bank does.

The small print definitely included cruise.

I'll keep them in mind as my bank one only covers us for Europe and the Med.
