Gambling in Alaskan Waters??

Hi,

I heard somewhere at some pint in time that gambling is not allowed while on an Alaskan cruise. Can anyone tell me if this is true? It won't affect the cruise experience, I just like to go to the casino and play late at night. And if I can't then I simply can't.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Not to fear, you will find the casino open for business shortly after it leaves port each day.:) The casino may be a bit empty late at night since Alaska cruisers tend to be up early so as not to miss the spectacular Alaskan scenery and so there may be more early birds than night owls onboard.:)

RCCL has a casino age imposition so I'm guessing the other lines do too :

GAMBLING POLICY

Guests of eighteen (18) years of age and older are welcome to play in our casinos (for all Alaska sailings, guests must be 21 years of age in order to play in our casinos).

The only time I noticed the casino being closed is when we were in port. It will open again after sailing so many miles out. It is the same on all our cruises.

I thought the same thing as the OP, that because when sailing at night, the ship is still within US waters so no gambling.

I'm glad to see that I'm evidently wrong. My DH will be delighted.
