marci22 Posted February 12, 2010 #2 Share Posted February 12, 2010 This was August of 2008, but I found the internet connection to be extremely slow and erratic. Ages for anything to load.

Rare NorbertsNiece Posted February 12, 2010 #4 Share Posted February 12, 2010 You'll need to find a hotspot on board and then go online either very early or late at night when access may be quicker. We also use the NetBook to upload pics at the end of each day as well as for WiFi access.
RosieRoo Posted February 13, 2010 #5 Share Posted February 13, 2010 We were on the Brilliance last May. They had something called "cyber cabin" where for a set fee you could rent a cord from the purser and hook up your laptop to an outlet in your stateroom. We had the internet connected in our stateroom 24/7 for the whole cruise for this flat rate. It was slow at times but it was great for us as we were sailing with our two older children who wanted to be in contact with their bf's at home. Brilliance is the only ship I know of in the RCL fleet that offered this. Don't know if it is still available or not. They don't advertise it and the purser actually tried to talk us out of it because he said it was slow but we found it no slower than their own internet service and it was much more cost efficient.
