CRUISE0825 Posted March 3, 2010 #2 Share Posted March 3, 2010 I've tried it twice. The first time I didn't like it at all. It was pretty much all melted chocolate and very little cake. The second time was much better. Maybe it was cooked a little longer? My favorite dessert is definitely the Bitter & Blanc bread pudding!
cb at sea Posted March 3, 2010 #3 Share Posted March 3, 2010 I don't like it, either...but I'm not "chocoholic"....a little chocolate goes a looooong way! Also not a fan of creme brulee'....
anna32182 Posted March 4, 2010 #4 Share Posted March 4, 2010 I am not a fan. I like my desserts to have flavor, not just be one big pile of sweet. My husband says I'm crazy, and he ate two a night on our last trip!
Rare crewsweeper Posted March 4, 2010 #5 Share Posted March 4, 2010 WCMC can often be inconsistent when prepared for large groups. It should be somewhat gooey in the middle, but not liquid, think hot fudge sauce. Bitter and Blanc brad pudding and the Grand Mariner souffles are so much beter IMO. But we always get at least one WCMC "for the table" which most it usually finds a way to my stomach:D
webecruizin Posted March 8, 2010 #6 Share Posted March 8, 2010 I to am not a fan, athough it seems everyone around totally love it sometimes ordering two at a time. I wish however Carnival served more milk choc. EVERYTHING it seems is dark choc. Hot choc machine is the only way to have that milk choc flavor :(
puggleperson Posted March 25, 2010 #7 Share Posted March 25, 2010 I loved it! I had one every night!!!! :D :D :D
Jolimont Posted March 26, 2010 #8 Share Posted March 26, 2010 I don't like it so much either, I wouldn't say it's bad, but it doesn't do much for me.
TravelLady928 Posted March 27, 2010 #9 Share Posted March 27, 2010 I'm not a chocoholic either, but I thought it was delicious! A little goes a long way though...it's a very rich dessert.
CorbinCatFan Posted March 28, 2010 #10 Share Posted March 28, 2010 Not a fan. I didn't and still don't understand the love feast for this.

In fact on a diet it is preferred over milk chocalate.
michelle1836 Posted April 7, 2010 #12 Share Posted April 7, 2010 I thought it was just ok. too chocolaty for me. I am more of a milk chocolate person. I even had it with 3 ice creams and couldnt finish it
Exp920 Posted April 9, 2010 #13 Share Posted April 9, 2010 I'm a chocolate person and although the cake is good I feel it's overrated. Much better deserts on the menu.
lettienets Posted April 9, 2010 #14 Share Posted April 9, 2010 I like it gooey, like choc. sauce in the middle. Sometimes it is too dry.
SMSACE6 Posted April 12, 2010 #15 Share Posted April 12, 2010 I tried it once, back on the Valor. I dont think I even finished it. While I do like chocolate, I really didnt enjoy this dessert very much. I thought it was too rich tasting. I havent ordered it since. But it is obviously liked by many people, and as they say food appreciation is really subjective. What one person loves, another one hates. marshhawk Posted April 14, 2010 #16 Share Posted April 14, 2010 I thought at first I really enjoyed the WCMC, and the first two times I had it, it was the way it was supposed to be, but when we were on the Legend, it just didn't have the flavor, more like chocolate goo. and not gooey enough. I think it depends on when you order it. I wanted to try Blanc and Bitter, but never saw it on the menu. We are doing the Fascination in December, is Blanc and Bitter still on the menu? madelinerose Posted April 15, 2010 #17 Share Posted April 15, 2010 We have a much, much better version at a local restaurant. ;)
Krazy Kruizers Posted April 16, 2010 #18 Share Posted April 16, 2010 HAL has a similar dessert -- Chocolate Volcano Cake -- which can only be ordered in the Pinnacle Grill -- and I love it!!
tapdancemom Posted April 18, 2010 #19 Share Posted April 18, 2010 Had it twice on our last cruise. One night, way to gooey, the other night yumo!
sjmarante Posted April 19, 2010 #20 Share Posted April 19, 2010 I liked the chocolate molten cake a lot in the beginning of the cruise. Toward the end of the cruise, I got a little sick of it. I think I prefer ice cream.:)
jd_nunn1 Posted May 20, 2010 #21 Share Posted May 20, 2010 I love melting cake, but then again I have never found a desert that was too sweet for me, not ever lol! I have one hell of a sweet tooth! My boyfriend on the other hand did not like it at all! Therefore I would order him one and eat it :) lol (he didn't do any other deserts either, not a big desert guy)
Skeevie Posted May 21, 2010 #22 Share Posted May 21, 2010 My wife is addicted to it. She has it every night of the cruise, but even she admits that it needs extra ice cream to tone it down a bit. I get it sometimes, but I'm usually content to steal a bite of hers. I agree that it is kind of inconsistent. Sometimes more gooey pudding and other times more cake-like. Ok, I have to confess that we do our own little mini-buffet and always make it a point to order a variety of different items from each course, then share with each other. :)
janeygirl Posted May 23, 2010 #23 Share Posted May 23, 2010 carnival's Warm Melting Choc. cake ??? I thought it was disgusting ! gritty and gooey . I do like chocolate desserts but it is too much for me, the orange sherbert is pretty good with it. I wait patiently for the grand marnier soffle, that is my favorite. DandyTwister Posted May 25, 2010 #24 Share Posted May 25, 2010 I love this dessert...on our last cruise I asked for the recipe...they kept them at the front of the restaurant...laughed when I started to read it...think it was a recipe to serve 400...now I just have to get out and buy 400 little bowls to cook them in and a truck to haul the ingredients:p
lillian marie Posted June 2, 2010 #25 Share Posted June 2, 2010 I usually order it on CCL cruises but after this past cruise last month I don't think I will again. It can be very runny or even overbaked. The consistancy of the product isn't there. The creme brullee is very good but also very sweet.
