How Will Allure Differ?

Recommended Posts

Just off Oasis and at the Q&A with the Captain he indicated that they were close to signing the new show for Allure - so obviously not Hairspray. I would expect that we may hear soon what it is:)

Just off the Oasis and ran into the Hotel Director in the elevator and asked him what changes will be on the Allure and he said just some minor changes that will create more "excitement". He didn't elaborate and at that point he got off the elevator!

Bringing back the blimp would create a lot more excitement!

Some thing has to give ,Im not sure a Mexican Place will do the trick however it might be nice.Maybe we will see a ferris wheel ,who knows but right now its a big bomb.

Hmmm... a ferris wheel would be neat, but those folks in the Board Walk balcony cabins would like that very much... :D sitting on their balcony and watching someone screaming their guts out because he/she is afraid of heights!

It might be a fun way to avoid the elevators. Take the ferris wheel till your at the top and then zipline to your balcony, lol!

MAMA MIA would be good too. I think for us we were dissapointed because all the board walk has turned out to be is passage to the Aqua Theater and is busy only for that reason as far as I can tell.Just another place to eat, Ye Ha !!!I dont think so!

Mama Mia is my choice...hope it is RCI's as well:)

Boardwalk being quiet makes it better for those of us that have Boardwalk balconies like I do in October.... :)

I just got off a plane -- long day, many delays. I needed a laugh and this did it. Good Humor is always welcome :o:o:o Cruising on Oasis in November and enjoy reading the Oasis Threads for ideas and criticisms.

Noise would be a problem for people with boardwalk balconies for sure and they do have to take that into consideration.Boardwalk was a ok area of the ship for me I think perhaps the let down came from the marketing of this area.We expected some big woo ha but really its another place to get something to eat and not much else.Perhaps we were also put of a little because a few of the guys wanted a corn dog ,the place was empty and the lady looking after the bar had to serve the guys because the other person that was looking after that area had vanished, she gave the impression that it was a great inposition,we could understand that if she were busy but she didnt have a customer either.I hate it when someone rolls there eyes,we were waiting for her to suck her teeth too.Be it the Jersey Boys ,Moma Mia ,Bull riding or ferris wheels,or lap dancing The Allure will be beautiful and I hope the marketing will be a little more accurate.October will be here soon, have a great cruise Emmy

i wonder is cirque du solei is doing something on the allure.. the cirque site says they are announcing a new show in 20 days and maybe it will be on allure... just wish-full thinking...

They did the "Oasis of Dreams" show so I would assume that they will be doing the Allure's as well. I think they may have also had a hand in the "Come Fly with Me" show but I'm not certain.

Cirque had nothing to do with these shows that are on the Oasis.. if they did it would be listed on the cirque website:

http://www.cirquedusoleil.com/en/default.asp

and it would also be listed here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cirque_du_Soleil

Even though cirque had nothing to do with these shows, the shows were all amazing. In my experience, there has never been a ship that has this type of high quality of entertainment.

DO NOT MISS THE SHOWS if you go on oasis...

It seems to me like we had more info on the Oasis by this point in time.Does any one know when they will release info on the Allure?

I think RCCL is holding back on the press machine for Allure. They only can make a big deal about a topic for a certain period of time. There better off extending the Oasis hype for now and then creating the Allure hype closer to launch and extending it long past delivery.

Also, they may be waiting until after the Norwegian Epic is introduced this summer. There's no need to fight over press coverage so early before the Allure launch. Remember with all the hooplah about Oasis last Fall, Carnival's Dream couldn't keep up and entered service relatively quietly, despite being CCL's largest ship to date.

Good point, I completely forgot about that. Mark your calendars, the Epic's arrival will be the big announcement day, lol. The Dream got creamed because Oasis arrived the same day or morning after her christening.
