Benefits of Cruise from other Cruise Lines

I was reading in my Berlitz Cruising and Cruise Ships, that Celebrity offers escort to your cabin on arrival, waiters carry your trays, 4 choices of pillows. Is this for inside cabins. We are planning a cruise out of San Juan in December. Thank you, John

Escorting to the cabin, yes, carrying your tray? That would be in

the buffet, and as for the pillows? If you don't like the ones you

have I am sure your cabin attendant will bring you another option.

I usually have an inside cabin. The one category that has a

"pillow menu" is in the Concierge class.

The Escort and the carrying of your tray has nothing to do with

your cabin category.

Been on 9 Celebrity cruises and never escorted to cabin. They do offer you a drink when you board. Will carry trays if you need help. Pillow menu only for CC and above cabins. You should find the service outstanding.

On our one and only Celebrity cruise in January of this year, we were not escorted to our room, were not offered any choices of pillows, and no waiters ever carried our trays.

Having said that, we did have a couple of glasses of champagne at embarkation and very much enjoyed the cold towels and refreshments when coming back on board in port.

Oh well, I can only tell you what I have seen and what I have experienced.

They have offered to escort me but I prefer to hit the cabin on

my own:D but I have definitely seen crew taking people to their

cabins.

And I have seen waiters help people with their trays.

So I guess your mileage may vary;)

I have been escorted to my room several times. I was offered on the last cruise and told them I really didn't need that, but thank you. I love being offered Champagne when boarding. It is something I really love about Celebrity.

I have had waiters walk over take my tray and ask me where I am sitting and take the tray to my seat. I can't remember that happening lately, so I am not sure if it is done anymore.

I am sure just like Lois said,if you have a problem with your pillows they will help you if they can.

John 57----ask away. Questions are they only way to get several answers. :) :)

Escorts to cabins are offered for those boarding at or after the published boarding time - If you board before the cabins are ready, the staff are busy getting the cabins turned over for your cruise. After they are finished, they put on their dress uniforms and come up to the boarding area of the ship to escort those that are boarding.
