Dolphin Deck - Crown Princess - forward or aft?

Need to make decision today. Is there shuddering or vibration in the aft of the ship? Or is there a lot of up-and-down motion in the forward cabins? Which would you choose if mid-ship is unavailable?

Thanks!

Howdy.

Forward or aft.

Of your two choices, for us, aft.

Not much pitch/roll because these ships are stabilized

with 16' trim 'wings' that extend when cruising.

We just finished a cruise in aft cabin B-749.

Some slight vibration, probably from

cavitation or shafts/props.

Not bad enough to be a deal breaker.

In any case, I like being close to an elevator!

If you are close to aft elevators, you

are only steps-off-the-elevator

from most food, Explorer's Lounge and

Club Fusion. Adagio and aft adult pool

area, very nice view!

Pizza, Ice Cream Bar, IC, MDR and DVDR

are closer to center elevator stack.

If walking is an issue AFT would be best

IMHO.

...because the Theatre is the only reason we had to go

forward. No Spa, No Santuary, No stinking

workouts...no other reason to ever go forward.

BTW, we used aft elevator to Promenade Deck,

then walked forward to theater 3 times...

the rest of the time we were aft/mid.

So, for us AFT is IT.

I'd take aft without even a question--works for me !! Forward would never work as far as I'm concerned

Have a good cruise and let know what you choose

For me it doesn't matter where the cabin is since motion doesn't bother me nor do vibrations. But any vibration or noise bothers the DH. The only time we ever really noticed any was when the ship was leaving port while in the dining room (Botticelli which is aft). Then the water glasses would start vibrating and you could feel some shaking. But that ended as soon as we were sailing out in open sea.

You probably felt vibes from the Thrusters

pushing away from the dock after all lines were in..

Botticelli is just above the Mooring Deck.

Remember, the Mooring Deck has a half dozen huge electric

windlass' for retrieving the dock lines and spring lines.

The activity around that time is choreographed by the bridge

with a lot of this equipment running at the same time.

As you said,"But that ended as soon as we were sailing out in open sea."
