two4me Posted April 23, 2010 #1 Share Posted April 23, 2010 Hi all, Just back from first cruise and TA called and mentioned that princess sale is June 15th and she gets info a month before. How much of a deal is this compared to any other sale, other than last minute? Any one know?
cherylandtk Posted April 23, 2010 #2 Share Posted April 23, 2010 Prices are not usually any different than what that TA or Princess would offer when there isn't a 'sale'; what is usually added during a 'sale' is a lower deposit, coupon books and/or other freebies or upgrades. Sometimes an extra $100 off the cabin cost. Don't confuse one of these regular sales with a flash fare promotion, however. That can sometimes be a really great reduced price, but it comes after final payment and close to the sail date of a particular sailing, not some specific week for all sailings. Iamcruzin Posted April 23, 2010 #3 Share Posted April 23, 2010 Hi all,Just back from first cruise and TA called and mentioned that princess sale is June 15th and she gets info a month before. How much of a deal is this compared to any other sale, other than last minute? Any one know? It depends on how the itinerary is selling. If it's during an off peak time the price may drop drastically. I booked a cruise for $579 and after final payment the price dropped to $299. I had my price adjusted to $364 during a sale they were having 5 months prior the sailing. If it's something that you want to do and the prices are what you are willing to pay I would book it and watch for price drops. Just find out if your TA charges for changes made to your booking.
