I am looking for a dependable reasonable limo company in NYC for airport pickup and sightseeing Can any of you wonderful New Yorkers help?

Thanks,

Jan-

If you're actually looking for a limousine, we use this company for clients:

http://www.madisonavenuelimo.com/

They're not cheap, but nothing in Manhattan is. The advantage to using them is that they will give your people a smooth, relaxing experience.

Hope that this helped-

Jim

NYC airports have designated taxi lines, fixed/meters to Manhattan.

There are also limo services- Dial 7 and more.

NY is an easy area to visit on one's own, parking and standing areas are very limited. A tour vehicle would have to drive around near any of the "tourist"

sites.

There are many standard walking tours available, with guides.

Since you posted on this board- Is this for Regattas foliage tours in 2011?

We have repetedly used carmellimo.com for travel to and from the airports. You can reserve on the web. Always on time and they take credit cards for payment. Note that tolls are extra on all limo services. They usually have a coupon discount on their web and also in numerous tourist guides and brochures.

As above - a limo for sightseeing in the city is both expensive ($80+/hr)and not very effective due to traffic and parking. If you are not willing to try the subways and busses take a taxi if you are going to a specific site and get another when you are done. Unless it is raining or around 5-6 PM you can usually get a taxi anywhere. For an overview of the city the hop on hop off red bus is recommended.

Good Luck.
