Back to back europeon cruises

Just wondering what happens on back to back cruises when you are in the same cabin. Does NCL make you shelp your stuff off the ship just to get back on. We are going out of Venice and I was wondering what is the protocol on back to back cruises in the same cabin. :cool:

By the way, even if you were changing cabins you wouldn't have to take your belongings off the ship. A room steward would move them directly from the cabin you were in to the cabin you have for the second half of the B2B on the morning of the transition. They would not be taken off the ship. (You would have to pack your bags...but you wouldn't put them out in the hall on the last night of the cruise.)

No worriies. Have a late brekfast, wander off and explore Venice and then wander back on when you feel like it.

Much easier overseas. Way less governmental procedures to go through like here in the states.

Since the second leg is a new crusie you will need a new ship's card and a new account et al. it is like you are doing another cruise only you do not have to disembark or pack or move anything. We haven't done one on NCL, but we did do one on Carnival. If you want to stay on the ship, after all passengers have disembarked, some one from the ship will escort you out and back in before any of the new passengers can board. So technically, you might be the only passengers on the ship for a time, except for the crew.

I don't think you can disembark with the other passengers, as you will not have a card for the second leg of the cruise. Once you get the new card, you can get off, wander around until the ship needs you to be back on board.

I see we are on the same cruise, I have been asking the same question on another board ( do we need to get off the ship in Venice) I have been waiting for someone who has done a B2B out of Venice for the right answer, not a I think so answer. On our last B2B with NCL in the Caribbean out of Miami we had a 5 day + a 9 day, we did not have to get a new key card and did not have to settle our onboard account after the 5 day cruise, we also had the same cabin for the whole cruise. We did have to get off the ship for about 30 minutes, then the first back on.

I guess from the responses above you might guess that you can stay on the ship and get a new key card. I would think that for an international cruise you would have to go through customs after each cruise.
