Movies Set on Cruise Ships

What movies can you think of that are mostly or entirely set on a cruise ship? I can only think of one, "The Poseidon Adventure" and it's modern re-make, "Poseidon". Would not be a good movie to watch right befor depature, haha.

I liked Out to Sea with Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau. It was set on the Westerdam. Funny movie in my opinion.

All I can think of is Speed 2 and that wonderful weepy with Cary Grant where they meet on a cruise... An Affair to Remember..... oooooh and the dreadful remake of the Parent Trap where they marry on a Cruise ship......

 

Actually you said mostly set...... tut.... must learn to read the question.....

 

EDIT : There's a Carry On film set on a cruise ship....... can't remember which one...... Sid James plays the Captain......

The Legend of 1900, starring the always-fabulous Tim Roth. He plays a man (named "1900") who was found as an infant on a ship at the turn of the 20th century, and spends his entire life on board. It's a really bittersweet movie! Here's a Wiki-link:

The original Love Boat made for TV movie was made in 1976 on the cruise ship.

Don’t forget Boat Trip with Cuba Gooding Jr. & Horatio Sanz, to straight guy’s unknowingly get on an all gay cruise, Roger Moore plays an aging gay playboy, pretty funny movie :D

Does anyone know the name of the cruise ship they were on during the filming of Boat Trip with Cuba Gooding Jr.? It says "Olympic Voyager" on the back of the ship but I can't find anything about a ship of that name. Just curious. BTW - terrible movie!!!!

Wonderful film- one of my favourites. Claude Rains played the psychiatrist- great actor. Bette Davis was fantastic too- and the outfits she wore on the ship - can you just imagine one of those enormous hats nowadays !! a different era of travel altogether.

There is an old Doris Day movie, "Romance on the High Seas". It is kind of fun if you like old flicks.

It's not really a movie, but a double episode of the most famous Belgian sitcom of all times was filmed on the...... Freedom of the seas. It even featured Chantal, Captain Trym's wife. I could watch it over and over again :D

I just did a google search for Olympic Voyager. There was, indeed, a ship by that name. It was built by Blohm & Voss, Hamburg and delivered to Royal Olympic Cruises in 2000.

After Royal Olympia Cruises folded in 2004 (the name had to be changed as the Olympic Committee had an issue with them using the Olympic name) the ship became the Costa Voyager...

Not a movie---but still one of my favorite pre-cruise things to watch: I Love Lucy!!! There is a series of about 4 or 5 episodes that are simply hilarious!! Getting the passports, missing the boat, boarding the boat--every episode just brings a smile:) remembering them.

I will have a look for them, are you in US, bet we can't get them in UK, used to love I love Lucy when I was younger, can't remember any on a ship though .

Not filmed entirely on a ship but Jack and Jill with Adam Sandler, the last part was filmed on the Allure of the Seas. Not the best movie ever made but pretty funny and cool to see the ship.
