They have asked for help from Coast Gaurd and have turned ship around to look for employee! This is a bad deal. It must have taken forever to turn that ship around. If they saw the person go off, hopefully they got some life preservers/floats to him/her, or dropped some markers to help locate him/her. Hope they find the person, and the person is in good health. kcroxyoursox Posted May 25, 2010 #7 Share Posted May 25, 2010 They did not see employee fall off. It was after a coworker reported person missing that they reviewed survailence footage and saw him/her fall off! Of course this is wild speculation, but I wonder if the person "fell" or jumped. If no one knew until he/she was reported missing, it sounds like this guy/gal was in a very secluded area (read: no other people around) right before the plunge. Not to mention it's kind of hard to accidentally fall, unless you were cleaning/maintaining equipment on the very outside borders of the ship, in which case you'd most likely be wearing safety gear, or at the very least, be supervised. kyrisong1 Posted May 25, 2010 #17 Share Posted May 25, 2010 ROFL MrPete!!! and btw co9 there are ways to fall of the ship. Didn't a man or a couple fall off while having ummmm balcony club on top of the railing on the balcony? Didn't a crew member fall off a carnival ship when he was posing for a picture up on top of something??? Not all people that go overboard are suicides. So your misinformed. marshhawk Posted May 25, 2010 #19 Share Posted May 25, 2010 So this person is missing, and a coworker notifies someone, and THEN:eek: they look at the video and see the person become "unattached to the floating vessel"??? How many hours after the person went into the water did they start looking for them? It may seem crazy, but you've got all those cameras taking all those pictures, why can't there be someone watching them while they are filming?
