boutit Posted June 11, 2010 #1 Share Posted June 11, 2010 Do any other cruise lines have a program similar to NCL's cruise rewards program? The program allows you to purchase a deposit for a future cruise. I would love to try other cruise lines but don't want to wait for them to offer a reduced deposit. paul929207 Posted June 11, 2010 #2 Share Posted June 11, 2010 Yes, other lines have similar programs. With Princess, for $100 you get a $100 deposit plus an on board credit of $25 to $150 depending on the length of the cruise and whether you book inside or outside. The Future Cruise Credit must be purchased while on a Princess cruise
boutit Posted June 11, 2010 Author #3 Share Posted June 11, 2010 Do you know if they are transferrable?
patseacruiser Posted June 11, 2010 #4 Share Posted June 11, 2010 I think NCL is one of the few transferrable. Some of them have a friends and family thing that extends the offer to friends/family sailing on the same cruise as one who has the next cruise credit. paul929207 Posted June 12, 2010 #5 Share Posted June 12, 2010 Do you know if they are transferrable? With Princess they are not transferable to another person or to another cruise line owned by Carnival Corporation

IMO, NCL's FCCs are a unique product. I don't know of any other line that provides $100 OBC per FCC to use the same time that you purchase the FCC, plus the full deposit (suites are exempt) towards the next cruise. I wish more cruiselines operated like this with regard to FCCs.

Princess, Carnival and RCL's FCCs, you purchase them for a FUTURE cruise!! lol

It's a hell of a deal. So yes, it is a future cruise credit just like the other cruiselines... just with an added bonus.

It has two components...a $100 OBC for your current cruise, and a reduced deposit for a future cruise. So...there's nothing funny about it.
