Constellation ~ breakfast in St. Pete

Recommended Posts

Reading posts about St. Petersberg, many say they depart the ship at 7am. We're wondering about breakfast ~

On the Constellation -

does anyone remember what time the Breakfast Buffet opens?

is it possible to get a real breakfast (not just rolls or danish) in time to leave the ship at 7am?

Room Service - do they serve hot food before 7am?

Anyone who can help - thanks loads!!

yes to room service before 7am. I think we had breakfast served at 6:30am the first day in St. Pete. You can get a full breakfast in room service.

We were on the May 28th sailing--just arriving home late last night after a post trip to Paris. I have not even unpacked to get specific details to your questions, but we always found the ship accomodating with the breakfast schedule according to disembarkation times.

We got off the ship by 7:00 in St. Petersburg and had breakfast before getting off at the buffet. We had ordered room service, but the earliest delivery was a 6:30-7:00 window and that did not work(we hoped it would be 6:30--wasn't- so we went to the buffet.)

If you have any other specific questions, I will try to answer when I get unpacked and find my daily programs to refer to.

I had heard that room service was supposed to be available for those wishing to get off around 7:00. I also believe that there was an early wakers breakfast buffet which begins around 5:30. I don't know what that entails, but it's a possibility if you need to get off the ship at 7:00 for your tour.

I hope you enjoy your cruise. We did :)

Ok Peg, I found my dailies and here is the breakfast info on first day in St. Pete on the Constellation:

Breakfast in the San Marco starts at 7:30--so that would not work for a 7:00 tour time

Breakfast at Seaside Cafe(buffet) --Early riser breakfast 5:30-6:00

Full Breakfast Buffet 6:00 - 9:30 (this is what we did for our 7:00 tour time)

Keep in mind that room service when ordered via TV gives a window for delivery-earliest was 6:30-7:00, which did not work for us---Perhaps you can order room service via phone and get it earlier-not sure)

Hope this helps- Any other questions?

We had a very early start on our day in St. Petersburg (May 28,2010 sailing), we flew to Moscow. My DH and I were at Bistro on Five when it open at 6am. Had a great breakfast and wonderful service. Our meeting time was 6:30am and we made it with no problems at all.

Melinda, did you really save all your dailies? We didn't :(

Did you all take the ship tours in St. Pete's or were they private ones? If they were private tours, did you have any problems getting off the ship at 7 am?

The first day we took the ship tour to Moscow but on the second day we had a private tour and had no problems at all getting off the ship. Sorry I could not help you out more.

We were on the Constellation on May 28. Celebrity personnel actually helped us get off the ship by 7 a.m. for our private tour on our first day in St. Petersburg. Based on the problems people encountered last year, we were afraid that we would be held back until the Celebrity ship tours had departed, but early in the cruise, we received a letter asking us to let guest services know if we had private tours. They asked us to meet in a lounge 15 minutes prior to our scheduled tour; when we arrived there, they escorted us off the ship. There was no line to get through immigration; the entire process took less than 10 minutes.

Have a great trip.

Thank You all for your help! It makes planning SO much easier when you know opening times, etc! Sounds to me that the Bistro on Five is the place to go!!

Thanks again!

We really enjoyed Bistro on Five hope you do too!!! And with it being open so early, it was perfect for that early arrival day.:D

Laura ~ Thanks SO for mentioning Bistro on Five! We really want to eat there but I had no idea it opened so early! Two years ago on the Med cruise we always had room service BK when port - but I think we were aiming at departing more like 8am - so time wasn't an issue. With St. Pete being SO early its great to know about the opening time & apparently fast service of Bistro! Thanks again for taking the time to answer - one less thing to worry about!!
