Does HAL have a return customer rewards system?

I loved cruising on Ms. Maasdam. We're thinking of doing an Alaska cruise next, possibly later this summer. Is there a rewards sytem for return customers?

I hope that you bought some future cruise credits while on your cruise -- thus you could get shipboard credit.

after this trip - we will have 30 cruise credits PLUS 30 additional for booking a suite ?? For a total of 60 ? :confused:

Yes, plus additional credits for onboard spending...

 

"Effective with cruises on or after September 18, 2009, one bonus cruise day credit will be granted for each $300 in eligible onboard purchases. This is calculated on the combined folio charges for all guests on the booking, regardless of who signs each charge and who pays the bill. There is a limit of one bonus day for each day sailed and 3rd and 4th guests on the same booking do not earn the onboard spending bonus. "

Yes, prebooked excursions count the same as if they were booked during the cruise.

With the exception of the casino, all monies spent against that booking number, either before or during the sailing, count toward the extra days spending credit. In fact, shortly after the program rolled out, I called for clarification and was told that even gifts bought for you by family or friends count toward that extra day for each $300 spent. Also, anything you may pre-order from HAL's gifts onboard area (flowers, spirits, spa, Pinnacle, etc.) count toward that $300 extra day credit.

Those are two entirely different things.

A "future cruise credit" is a deposit on an unspecified future cruise, to be booked within four years. The amount for most cruises is $100 per person (a real bargain!). In addition, you get on-board credits for that cruise. The amount of the credits varies depending on the cabin booked, and the length of the cruise.

yes and no. they have one, but there aren't really any benefits until you have a zillion points.

Gosh, I was really pleased when they started the star program. I know it doesn't seem like a lot, but it's definitely better than what HAL had before. Course, I keep stretching to get that 4th star anyway!

Yes, the Hotel Service Charge counts.

Yes there is and it is somewhat lacking in benefits compared to some other cruiselines. Since HAL monitors these forums you would hope that eventually they would improve their programs, but in fact they really don't seem to be that interested in customer relations.
