MrsB05 Posted December 21, 2015 #676 Share Posted December 21, 2015 Ship - Independence Deck - 9 Stateroom # - 9568 Stateroom Category – JS Starboard or Port Side - Port Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Yes, hardly heard anything but sometimes the folks on the balconies around us and people walking by in the hallway but nothing terrible. Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – We were situated under the port hot tub somewhat to the back of it. One of the panels to the far right was purple so reflected back. The other two were clear. See attached picture. Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - It did seem a bit larger to us as it was a smallish hump. Was wind a problem? - No If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - N/A Any specific problems with this cabin? - Once or twice the toilet would not flush when the button was pushed but then a few moments later, it would flush "on its own". Any other comments? - A nice location close to the forward elevators. We had very calm seas so I don't know what it would have been like during squalls. (With comments on problems) – Yes, just steps from elevators but extremely quiet. Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – Great view..middle of hump, no obstructions Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal for being on hump. Large enough for 2 loungers, 2 chairs and table. Great balcony. Was wind a problem? - No, except for the day we had 60mph winds! If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - N/A Any specific problems with this cabin? - None, unless you consider the small TV a problem. It was a flat screen but maybe only 23 inches? Very small and difficult to read/see across the room. Any other comments? - Room was lovely. Large, with full size sofa, comfy lounge chair with foot rest, coffee pot and kettle, LOTS of storage, many drawers and walk in closet. Absolutely loved that it was just steps away from elevators. Would book this room again.

Normal or oversized for class? - NA Was wind a problem? - NA If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - NA Any specific problems with this cabin? - NA Any other comments? - There are only 16 Panoramic OV staterooms on VOS: 8 each on Decks 7 & 8, midship and 194 sq ft in size with a full size sofa and nice sitting area. The staterooms on Deck 8 have large floor to ceiling windows (picture a balcony cabin without the balcony) and the staterooms on Deck 7 are 3/4 floor to ceiling. Highly recommend to anyone who wants an ocean view & larger stateroom for a lower price than a balcony. They are close to the Centrum and easy to watch the activities and aerial shows just outside your door. There is no noise from the Centrum either as they are tucked away and behind a wall and the door is kept closed during evening hours.

srice Posted January 11, 2016 #688 Share Posted January 11, 2016 (edited) Does anyone have any info on cabin 4080 on the Enchantment? Thanks The purpose of this thread is to post cabin reviews. To find out about a specific cabin go to https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1P02jhe9iw-mXyk3L9xhEJ_8lv_j4LHI6Qt0TMYy_WP8/edit?pli=1#gid=83641472 and you can use the filters to find out if there are any reviews about a specific cabin. If that cabin isn't reviewed you can find other cabins in the same category or near the cabin you are interested in. I just checked and there are no reviews for that specific cabin but you might want to take a look to see if there is any other information that might be helpful. srice Posted January 16, 2016 #690 Share Posted January 16, 2016 in the filter option the Anthem is not listed, or I am not doing it correctly. any information how I can search for the Anthem My first question is are you clicking on Data > Filter > then selecting your ship? If so this won't work. I will be deleting those filters because of the maintenance required to keep them up to date. You will be creating temporary filters. You can't change any data and when you close the filter it goes away. I suggest a 2 step process to create your filter. You can skip step 1 if you want but it puts the cabin numbers in order by ship. Step 1 - Put your cursor in cell D2 or any other cell in column D that has data and click on Data > Sort sheet by column D, A->Z. This gives you a temporary filter sorted by cabin number. Step 2 - Click on the little upside down triangle in cell A1 and pick the ship(s) you want from the drop down menu. You might want to click on "Clear" first to deselect all ships. Once you have selected the ship(s) you are interested in click on "OK" and you will have a list of the ships you selected in cabin number order. You don't have to use the parameters I did. You can select any columns to filter like deck, category, etc. If this doesn't work please let me know.
Emmyemmy Posted January 17, 2016 #691 Share Posted January 17, 2016 Ship - Freedom of the seas Deck - 12 Stateroom # - 1884 Stateroom Category – superior balcony Starboard or Port Side - port Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – quiet, could occasionally here a deck chair move around above but not enough to bother us. Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - Yes Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – amazing view, it's so high up that you have an amazing view. Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - slightly smaller balcony but brand new so new updates tables chairs and balcony itself Was wind a problem? - nope If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - Nope Any specific problems with this cabin? - The bed was rock hard but that's not cabin specific, its fleet wide. Our room steward added padding but still not great and I'm 24 so I can normally sleep anywhere. Any other comments? - the room was the nicest one we've stayed in. Very updated, everything was brand new. 40" flat screen tv, and all brand new furniture.

Normal or oversized for class? - Normal Was wind a problem? - No Any specific problems with this cabin? - None specific to this cabin. Any other comments? - RCI seems to be cutting costs. No toiletries except some body wash in a dispenser. Only 2 bath towels per cabin. Probably could have requested another but rarely saw the steward. The cabin was close to the front elevators and up from the theater and down from the spa and the solarium. Very far from the dining options.
