Zack Adams Posted January 23, 2011 #551 Share Posted January 23, 2011 My Nephew recently purchased a sword and wanted me to transform him into a Ninja Warrior. Spent around 30 minutes shooting this and it was my first time posing someone. It was a bunch of fun for both of us :D

bfam5 Posted January 25, 2011 #554 Share Posted January 25, 2011 Here are a few favorites from Boyce Thompson Arboretum near Superior, AZ. For some reason, I couldn't attach this picture. So here's the link instead. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_BXFctJZ0vxk/S1zvLV-AUUI/AAAAAAAAAiQ/4XPX0VjXbcM/s1600-h/IMG_2869_70_71_tonemapped.jpg This was also taken at Boyce Thompson. Jen4398 Posted January 27, 2011 #556 Share Posted January 27, 2011 Since I'm going to be here again in less than a week, I figured it would be apropos to post a few shots of when I was last there in December. It's my favorite other vacation next to cruising - Disney World! Many people go with their kids and race around hitting rides, never realizing that the parks are very photogenic places and a photographer can really appreciate the place in a different light when taking your time and looking for shots: This shot is amazing! Jen4398 Posted January 27, 2011 #557 Share Posted January 27, 2011 My husband and I are planning our first cruise. We will be sailing to Alaska in August and couldn't be more excited. I am fairly new to photography, but it has thoroughly hooked me. I have been using my 50mm alot lately because I have been doing a lot of indoor photography. Here is an image I took today... I am looking forward to spending sometime on this board. Enjoy your evening.

zackiedawg Posted January 31, 2011 #564 Share Posted January 31, 2011 Ooh - eagles! Very nice. I'm still jealous of people who get great eagle shots since I'm such an avid bird photographer - because I still haven't seen one (since my photography took hold at least, the past 10 years or so). We saw more than a dozen eagles yesterday just north of Seattle. There are some that live there year round, but many more migrate down for the winter. This one was sitting on a electric utility pole and I was parked under the eagle and shot these through my open sunroof! Come up to Seattle in April and visit Mt Vernon to see eagles and tulips! Dave I thought that pano looked more like east than west. My first thought was that it looked just like a park here in Virginia a few miles away from me. My DH is from GA. You will find lots of beautiful places to practice your art there. I'm sure that it is a big change for you though!

The Grumpus Posted February 2, 2011 #572 Share Posted February 2, 2011 I was driving across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge on Sunday evening on the way home from the Outlets and with a little luck, I timed it at just about right for Sunset. There was quite a bit of cloud cover but the sun peaked-out at just the right time. Picture taken with the iPhone 4.
