Bill S Posted July 17, 2010 #4 Share Posted July 17, 2010 Hi Patrick (or giant ship or ships??-trying to remember my German from college)! We were passengers on the fabulous Baltic cruise in 2005. We fell in love with the Prinsendam within hours of boarding her. The transit of the Kiel Canal was one of the best sea days, if not the best sea day we have ever experienced. Our trip to Berlin from Warnnemunde was outstanding, as well. We hope to sail on the Prinsendam again.

tmcauban Posted August 8, 2010 #11 Share Posted August 8, 2010 We were on the Prinsendam last month for two weeks for the "Hearts of Bordeaux" cruise. Good itinerary, but the ship was a huge dissapointment: Our Stateroom was extremely noisy, shaking and rattling all the time even in port, so we had sleepless nights. In fact, a good half of the ship (aft) rattles and shakes a lot, much more than any other cruise ship we have been on. And this regardless of which category or deck you are on. Be very careful. They would not move us for 9 days (out of 14 days) , and the whole cruise was ruined by the lack of sleep. It was just incredibly uncomfortable. In addition, overall, the ship is poorly maintained, the service uneven and the food mediocre. The worse cruise ever!
