What are the must haves for Dinner?

I know this is not a suggestion - but since we're on the topic of food... Do they serve fois gras? I know I'm dreaming big, but.... it's one of my favorite things in the world!!!

I believe the escargot are served on the 2nd 'elegant' night so as long as you make it to the MDR that evening you should be good to go (my travel buddy usually orders 2 of them - and on one cruise - as someone mentioned - we were able to get escargot on another evening - for the whole table - specially prepared for us - by special request - great wait staff!)

The menu is posted outside the MDR early in the day.

 

I called myself looking for it, but didn't see it on the Triumph

Maybe I just missed it, but I have seen where others say it is

not always posted.

I will make sure we check for it in about 10 days:D

We were on a 5-day cruise on the Fascination last week. There is only one elegant night but they did serve escargot on the next to last night. Unfortunately I missed it because we were doing Chef's Table that night.

Warm Chocolate Melting Cake

Chilled fruit soups

Indian food (really very good on the cruise ships)

I know my wife would say the chocolate melting cake. I would just say try to experience some new things while on board.

Crab cakes

Baked mushrooms

Fried shrimp

 

Main dishes:

Prime rib

Flat iron steak

Penne mariscos

Dinner must haves: escargot and warm choco melting cake. Lnch buffet must haves: cheese mashed potatoes. Sometime they are laced with cheddar, sometimes with brie, but ALWAYS FINGER LICKING GOOD! :p;):D

Our "must haves" in the MDR:

 

• love their Caesar Salad - YUM!
  

 

 

Funny our family likes everything BUT the caesar salad. We try every year hoping they changed the recipe but it is so fishy tasting none of us can eat it.

I liked the filet, the prime rib, sefood newburg, tiramisu, WCMC, cheesecake, sushi plate, smoked salmon, asian beef, chicken skewer, etc etc etc. I wasn't too impressed with the Chateaubriand (it was just ok) or the flat iron steak. The veal parmasan was pretty good. That's all that I really remember well.

 

Enjoy! I have just 36 days until my first meal on the Liberty!

Not dining room but: BLT Sandwiches from room service were great..sjn

The burgers and fries on the lido deck is always a solid lunch 2!!

years ago Carnival used to serve the HERB BUTTER STEAK and that was my all time favorite... then the Braised short ribs shows up. LOL
