When do you pay for excursions?

At least if you book and pay in advance, your on board bill MIGHT not be so scary.

We are not on Westerdam until March but booked and paid for some shorex a few weeks ago, 8 months in advance. I learned from CC that many ports in the Caribbean are stacked with cruise ships, thus often shorex fill up quickly.
