Transportation from the Manhattan Pier to LGA

I've done a search for posts regarding this topic, but the best I could do were posts from 2007. So, I'm hoping for some recent travelers to help.

 

My question is this, we disembark the Veendam on Sunday 9/12 and have a 1:30pm flight home from LGA. What is the smartest way to get there, with a prearranged car service or just exit the ship and attempt to hail a cab ourselves? There are just two of us.

Either a car service or a taxi will do the job for you...it won't matter very much.

I find that for NYC it's just easier to go with a taxi.

You can easily catch a cab to the airport. There is usually a taxi line that moves fairly quickly. You can also choose to do an early debark around 9:00 am and that will put you at the head of the pack.
