GatorCat Posted August 22, 2010 #1 Share Posted August 22, 2010 Is anyone aware of any fun snorkeling trips/party boats that do not include stingray city?

bookbabe Posted September 12, 2010 #3 Share Posted September 12, 2010 Cayman doesn't generally run to "party boats" of the sort I think you're probably looking for. There's a couple of catamaran excursions, and a pirate ship excursion...but they're not the "music and booze" type boats. You'd have to look at the websites for Nativeways, Captain Marvin, Captain Bryans, etc. to see if anyone has a non-stingray tour. It won't be common. The stingrays are pretty much Cayman's most famous attraction, so the majority of tours include a stop there. Most people that want a non-stingray snorkel trip likely end up either shore snorkelling at someplace like Eden Rock, or booking a private charter to take them to a few spots. laurieb Posted September 13, 2010 #4 Share Posted September 13, 2010 I too have been searching for a snorkel trip without stingray city. I think we'll probably end up at Cemetary Beach again.
RjayB Posted September 13, 2010 #5 Share Posted September 13, 2010 This is what we are doing in 2 weeks...I dont think its a catamaran though. Its $40 per person. Barrier Reef Snorkel Experience some of the Cayman Island’s best snorkeling at Barrier Reef. On this excursion you will: Take a short bus ride to a private dock. Board a boat for the ride out to Barrier Reef; rich in local history, Barrier Reef offers pristine snorkeling conditions in the North Sound. Enjoy snorkeling shallow waters with beds of sea whips, sea fans, corals and schools of tropical fish. Have ample time to explore the reefs and abundant marine life before being transported back to the dock. Note: Minimum age is 5 years. Snorkel equipment is included. mlbcruiser Posted September 16, 2010 #9 Share Posted September 16, 2010 laurieb, tell me about Cemetary Beach: where is it? Is it easy to get to (how?), and how good is the snorkeling there? I didn't get the impression anyone was asking about "party boat" excursions at all.

bookbabe Posted September 19, 2010 #12 Share Posted September 19, 2010 I didn't get the impression anyone was asking about "party boat" excursions at all. Since the OP (not laurieb or LibraByTheSea) specifically said they were looking for a party boat, that's what I was replying to... ;)
