New bucket of beer deal?

As long as the program is in place, you can even pack it on future cruises, and keep getting the refills. At least, that's the way a cocktail server explained it to me.

That's nice, but a bit surprising, considering how their soda package runs...

... maybe the coolers are on E-BAY!!

The initial price is higher because it includes purchase of the cooler. As long as the program is in place, you can even pack it on future cruises, and keep getting the refills. At least, that's the way a cocktail server explained it to me.

This is a great option. It was mentioned there was no top so I am wondering just how long the ice will hold up. Might not be a favorite of the cabin attendant.

Are all DOD's 8.95 now or is that with the specialty glass. Can't you get it cheaper in a regular glass if you ask.
. I think the price is $5.95 w/o the glass. I order w/o the glass but bartender brought it with the glass TWICE. I was thirsty and thought he might spit in it or something if I sent it back because of the glass. I was flying and not about to try packing these glasses. I just left them out on the pool deck where I knew someone would snatch it right up. Shocker..I went to the restroom and when I returned, it was GONE. (LOL)

Just returned from Freedom on Aug 22nd - look for the new bucket deal at the pool bars. Buy a insulated RC bag and eight beers = 33.00, bring the bag back get 8 beers w/25% discount about 23.00 - all Bud products though - I did it thoughout the cruise and brought back to the room before dinner with family and friends. Oh, and the 6.75 25oz Fosters aren't bad either :-)

Pltag,

Sorry for the confusion but we don't measure in ounces in the UK ( more's the pity ), we use mililitres so a normal size can would be 440 ml which I reckon is just less than 16oz. That being the case either the bucket or the Fosters Oil can(s) will suit me just fine. Apart from in Thailand I have never had a problem with beer getting warm, it's not in the bottle long enough.

Cheers,

Jim

Found a similiar deal tonight..only you received 6 bottles instead of 8 and they came in a cardboard holder (non-insulated)..not bad...6 bottles for $5.48.

Hey I found the humor in this post! So true, but I do like the sounds of this RCI special.

Anyone happen to have a photo of the beer cooler? Odd it doesn't have a lid.

I believe the OP said any beer you wanted except Fosters , which is a 25oz. can. Domestics come in the 16 oz. aluminum bottle and the others are 12 oz I believe.

We'll be on the Majesty next week and will report back what we find out.

is there a pix?

and would that be you buy the bucket one day, and then its $25 per day for the rest of the week if you have the bucket? or is it a one day deal? (not that my husband could drink that many beer in a day, but it would be nice to have some unopened to take back to the room and keep in the fridge

I would think all unopened as they said there was an opener built into the cooler. :)

So...including the refilled bucket, you can get 16 beers. So much for the anti-smuggling crowd's argument that Royal Caribbean doesn't let you buy booze on the ship to take back to your cabin because they want to prevent excessive drunkenness. I think the average person can get pretty smashed on 16 beers. I may have to re-think my whole smuggling plan...although I did manage to get a six-pack of Amstel Light onto my last cruise in my suitcase.

You can order buckets of beer and have them delivered to your cabin. We did this on our last cruise for afternoon sailaways. No issues at all.

It was on Majesty. Bar staff said it came out a week ago. It will be fleet wide. Don't know if all ships are doing it yet. First 8 beers and the cooler for $33. you keep the cooler(any beer except Fosters Oil Can, you can mix em up if you want.) Bring the cooler back and 8 for $25 the rest of the cruise. Grat extra. Cooler also has a built in bottle opener, too. They were all around the pool and saw quite a few carried around the ship and in the casino. Seemed to go over very well.

DH will be pleased to hear this!

We have done this also. But I am hoping this new deal will just be easier all around. We will check it out and see.
