cruisetime25 Posted September 1, 2010 #1 Share Posted September 1, 2010 This is the first time we'll be using FF miles to NY from Florida for N/E Canada cruise on Sept. 25th. If the flight is cancelled because of a hurricane, does the airline let you transfer to another flight or do full paying passengers have priority? 6rugrats Posted September 1, 2010 #2 Share Posted September 1, 2010 FF tickets are not "free", you earned them. You don't name your airline, but they should be rebooked the same as a regular ticket.
Twickenham Posted September 1, 2010 #3 Share Posted September 1, 2010 I have had missed connections/cancelled flights on FF tickets, and always was treated as any other ticketed customer when being re-routed.
cruisetime25 Posted September 1, 2010 Author #4 Share Posted September 1, 2010 Thanks for your quick replies, I never thought of the miles as miles we earned...exactly right!

If the flight is cancelled because of a hurricane, it's more than likely that the flight you want to get transferred to will be cancelled as well. The domino effect of that means a LOT of other people all trying to get rebooked onto a limited number of available seats whenever flights resume. If that happens, good luck.
