VTMOM59 Posted September 13, 2010 #1 Share Posted September 13, 2010 I am leaving this Thursday, Sept 16. Never been on RC before. Other ships have hair dryers, thought I read this did too. Checking to see if others felt like it was decent, good enough that it doesn't take 30 minutes to dry normal amount of ladies hair! Thanks! dsrn99 Posted September 13, 2010 #3 Share Posted September 13, 2010 I've been on EOS three times, and feel the same way. Always thought the hair dryer that is supplied to be sufficient. Sufficient enough so that I dont feel I have to bring my own. Hope this helps.:)
griffy116 Posted September 13, 2010 #4 Share Posted September 13, 2010 We've sailed on EOS. I had no problem with the hair dryer whatsoever. It did a good job and I didn't think drying time was excessive at all. My daughter has very thick, very long hair. She tried it for about 30 seconds and broke out her own hair dryer. To each his own, but I never felt the need or desire to bring my own or to use hers.
cb at sea Posted September 13, 2010 #5 Share Posted September 13, 2010 I, too, have long, thick hair....the supplied dryers get hot, but don't blow very hard...they are the snub-nose variety, like you find in hotels. They just don't blow very hard, and that's the whole point of "blow drying"! I bring my own, everyday hairdryer.

I also suggest bringing a power cord so you can plug into the outlet in your cabin ( if there is one)! :>)!
marci22 Posted September 13, 2010 #7 Share Posted September 13, 2010 We had a GS on Ex and the hairdryer had some kind of duct tape on it holding it together. It's ok for short hair but you have to keep the button pressed down while you're drying so a bit of a pain. I'd bring your own.
gerif Posted September 13, 2010 #8 Share Posted September 13, 2010 Some people use duct tape to hold the button down. I've personally never had a problem and I've got fairly thick hair.
